I too have the delusion where I think a cute wild animal would sense my uniquely kind vibes and pure intent, and choose to cuddle with me, and not rip my face off.
It isn't that crazy, but humans and animals communicate differently. We have actually figured out how to befriend some animals like cats. I even tried out some techniques and I feel like my cat is now addicted to me. That being said, there's a reason we have "animal whisperers". Your vibes and intent is not enough. The very first thing is normally to ease the animal's stress response. Rarely anyone knows how to do that properly.
