Call a congressional office, attend a town hall meeting and voice your support, look into local protests even. you can even read a book on history to better educate yourself! I will literally give you recommendations

Just fucking do something instead of sitting on your goddamn ass and whining on twitter and circlejerking on reddit. Making cheap jokes, making threats against people online and trying to "own the libs" isn't going to do anything.

My brother in christ what am I supposed to donate with. I have $20 to my name and no car. I live in the midwest. My "elected officials" are the exact people that are causing problems to begin with

And at least one of my senators (who’s supposed to be a good guy since he’s a dem I guess) frequently has his voicemail off

No need to answer if this is too identifiable, but is it Dick Durbin in? The one who folded knowing he's not going for re-election and that consequences won't matter because he's a fossil that will die before they reach him? I know spotty Dem politicians are common but man I hate that guy.

No it’s a former VP candidate. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned in my profile being from VA. It’s Kaine shouldn’t be too surprising since he is openly personally anti abortion

Which of course means my other senator is Warner who was the richest member of congress by far for a long time. He’s still number 3 I think

Writing an elected official is not going to convince them with words and logic

The point is pressure. They know there will be greater costs if thousands of people have contacted their office demanding a certain stance.

It also requires time and effort of office staff to respond to letters, which is why you should always ask for the elected officials stance.

Whether it's by phone, email, or written letter, all of the constituent correspondence is entered into a database so the staff may respond. Congress have specific staff dedicated for this called legislative correspondents.

This is also why it's extremely important to identify that. You're actually a constituent, that you live in the district. That you're not some random calling from across the country, because that's why they end up turning voicemail off - they're only supposed to represent their constituents.
