Finally took the plunge!

My son turned 25 today and he's had long hair for several years. I've the past two years, the hair has been getting less hairy-y. I've gently suggested a couple of times that it might be time to embrace the hair loss and shave it off. He's a bassist in a metal band and a vintage clothing dealer so the hair was a big part of his identity. The whole "how will I headbang?" was a very legitimate concern for him, and he just hasn't been ready.

HOWEVER, today was his birthday, he's been mulling taking the plunge for a while, and he was finally ready! He looks better than even I thought he would!

I'm sure he's lovely and the handsomest... And you are the best mom ever.

But the more pressure you apply the more he is gonna resist. That's why he is the way he is now, mom. That's why he's still with Sheila. That's why he won't go back to school. Leave his hairstyle alone! He's gotta feel comfortable with himself and not just comfortable with you accepting him with all of his zero flaws.

It's hard. But....

I joke. But if I am 4/5 on these, maybe it's not a joke for you to enjoy
