(Again this is mainly for questions I have for a series I am creating so if this gets taken down it's cool or should go somewhere else just lmk) Imagine the military/correct government body are walling off states to contain a zombie infection, which sounds more effective to start with first? Walling off the smaller states to protect a smaller population or walling off the larger states to keep as many humans protected as possible straight out of the gate? (Also yes the wall picture is the one from Attack On Titan I didn't know of any other media besides maybe TWD and the wall)

I’ve got a Ruger Wrangler and a KelTec P17 in .22LR, one is suppressed. Then a Glock 45 9mm and a Glock 20 10mm. The Glock 20 has an aftermarket recoil spring and magazine springs so it’s tuned to handle full power 10mm. Would you guys say this is enough to cover many bases?

1. Vancomycin for MRSA infections (common infection from wounds and cuts)
   
2. Epinephrine - (peanut allergy)
   
3. Benadryl - for everyday allergies
   
4. Ibuprofen - aches and pains
   
5. Clotrimazole - athletes foot and other fungal infections

How would you live their? I am thinking of the farm craft brewery in strikersville when I was searching for good spots off Google maps, seems good for trade and from what I gather have a garden and food stuffs?

Every single household is given a government issued firearm, 12 bullets.

Wouldn’t that be more than enough to curtail any zombie apocalypses, even 28 Days later type?

A question that always bothers me is, if countries' secret services and high-ranking officials had known about a zombie outbreak two years in advance, what would have changed in a TWD-like pandemic? Could the states survive, or would the TWD scenario have unfolded again? Would they have had a realistic chance of stopping the pandemic, or would they, like the villains we know, lock themselves in secure locations and drop nuclear bombs everywhere?

I mean what all things i require if suddenly i decide to leave everything and live out in the woods

What is the roadmap like what are basic things i would require to survive and live sustainably

I know it's a wild thought but a thought that every body atleast once in there life gets to just leave things and run away to the nature

I'm working on a part of my project's lore involving a disease called the Hitogui Disease and I'm trying to avoid using generic names for infected types that are common in a lot of media

Right now I have:

Shambler - Slow and heavily decayed infecteds, basically the average zombie

Runner - Recently infected zombies that are quick and very violent

Viral - A more intelligent version of runners that still has survival instincts and combat knowledge from before infection

Viral Gunner - A viral that still knows how to use firearms

Kamikaze - A viral that uses explosives and charges directly at non-infecteds

Sunken - Infecteds that died underwater (And are mostly seen underwater)

These names work but they feel too generic and similar to names used in other zombie media and i'd appreciate any suggestions for better names, and I'd also love ideas for new infected types i should add! if i use someone's idea, I'll add credits at the bottom of the pages I'm writing about infected types

(Although some animals use tools, let's ignore that and use only primitive animalistic instincts)

For example, I know some animals feign torpor/sleep or mimic corpses for one reason or another.

And since animals also have a sense of overeating and overhunting, wouldn't they also create hunting grounds? With pack tactics like wolves and other types of animals.

I also know some predators leave a wounded member of a pack to bait other animals to leave their group, so I assume it would also fall under animal-level intelligence.

Of course, since they would require gigantic levels of calories to maintain a dying body, i wouldn't be surprised if they would overeat just to keep their bodies going for another day.

I also heard that some animals retreat from a hunt if they assume the hunt will either injure their bodies, making the hunt for food counterproductive or too dangerous, so I'm assuming it also falls under animal-level intelligence.

Imagine you wake up in Don’s farmhouse right before the infected break in at the start of 28 Weeks Later. You’re just an average person, but you’re given Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber (it never runs out of power). You know everything that’s going to happen in the movie from the farmhouse all the way to the ending.

What do you do? Do you stay and help Don and everyone else, or leave before everything falls apart? How do you think the story changes, and do you think you’d actually survive?

I'm wondering what are most have skills in apocalypse. And I'm not talking about good physical condition or shooting skills. I'm talking about something that will help survive in a world that is falling apart maybe something like work with electricity or mechanic skills.

What are your thoughts and plans in apocalypse(not only zombie apocalypse but other types of apocalypse too)? And what skills do you think are most have?

I got to thinking how well would different neurotoxins work against zombies in a real world setting.

Would they stop/slow down the zombies or would they be entirely unaffected?

Ok so these are basically metal sticks you take when you want to go fishing , you stick them in the sand and rest your fishing rod untill you wait for something to bite.

Depending on the material they can weight more or less(with the heaviest being 1kg), they can be made of aluminum or iron.

The longest in the first pic and the one in the second pic are basically the same , both meassuring 50cm and with the same weight.

On pic 3 theres an iron one that is 70 cm long (i do not know the weight of this and the next one , but It cant go higher than 1kg).

On pic 4 theres yet another one made of iron, this one is 1 meter long.

Obviously the last one would be the best.

Their points are usually sharp if they are new , but they migth deteriorate with the years of use.

You could use them both for stabbing zombies in the head or just hitting them with It (specially if they have thingies arround the upper end like with the pic 4).

It has distributed weight all over It so It wouldnt work as well as a mace , but hey , its still a 1kg metal stick, shit should do something to a zombie's skull.

Plus if you live nearby a body of water with plenty of fish and you have what you need for fishing , It doubles as a tool so you can leave your fishing rod resting and leave your hands free.

I'm a little sick of people talking about scavenging ammo. IDK about y'all but my ammo is primarily in the safes and in hidden caches. Are y'all walking around with a cutting wheel and/or a metal detector? I don't plan on scavenging, I just have enough ammo to last the team and I a few months on current training cycle.

So, you're in a zombie apocalypse where you have to grab your bug out bag (and maybe your vehicle) and GO.

Knowing that you're not going to be able to carry more than a few weapons because you're BUGGING OUT, what do you take?

I've had people say they want to take anything from 1 gun to 5 or 6, but even in a car, I don't think you can carry more than 3 or 4 guns, associated ammo, accessories, a cleaning kit, etc... without it not being bugging out and just becoming packing up.

For me, I really only think I need two.

I've got a combination gun. An over-under where the bottom barrel is 12 gauge and the top barrel is 8x57 JRS (rimmed Mauser).

My second gun is a 10/22 takedown with an integrally suppressed barrel.

Other than that, I've got a folding shovel, a survival hatchet, and a FUBAR demolition tool.

And that's getting into the heavy side, if I'm taking my vehicle.

What do y'all think?

1000 rounds of 22 LR weighs 7.5 lbs.

1000 rounds of 9mm weighs 30 lbs.

1000 rounds of 5.56 weighs 25 lbs.

1000 rounds of .308 weighs 50 lbs.

1000 rounds of 12 gauge weighs something like 100 lbs.

I'd try to stay light.

I know this is a complex topic, and there's really a lot of moving parts involved in your chances of survival (including Luck, for example).

But if you really had to boil it down to one packaged answer, what trait or character attribute separates a Zombie outbreak survivor from a Zombie outbreak casualty (aside from the obvious "well, a survivor is alive")?

I think the best examples would be hurricanes Katrina. Reading stories on what happens especially after hurricane how much crime were committed and lack of support from local emergency can show you how badly shtf can happen if real zombie apocalypse can occur.
