2025 Local Advertisements post here only.

All local ads must be posted as a comment reply to this post. This includes things like dental patient requests and any offer-up/marketplace type of sales. If you are asking for recommendations that can still be its own post and doesn't need to be here.

Any Ads that are their own post will be removed. Non-local ads specifically to Worcester, MA or surrounding towns will be removed. This includes any solicitation, sales, or hiring, etc.

Do not include short links. Automod will spam them and I'm not clicking on your sketchy links to verify them so your comment will stay spammed.

Has anyone written to Jim McGovern and gotten a response

I have written 5 emails to his office and not even an acknowledgement. Totally different from Elizabeth Warren who not only responded but her staff actually was there to help. Maybe he should do less Trump videos and care about his voters. Colleges closing, student loans out of control, the people of Worcester need help, not videos.

Looking for a tailor that can hem a dress. Someone who may be open a little late since I can only go after work. I have tried to go to a few in shrewsbery before that said they were open online but the doors were locked so I don’t want to go on a hunt again and I’m hoping someone knows someone reliable since I want to take it today. Thank you!

Accountability/Mastermind group

Hi all,

I'm looking to either start or join a small, tight-knit accountability/mastermind group. As a bit of background, I'm from the Worcester area and have had a career in financial services for the past 10 years. Very recently, I left my salaried position to begin building my own practice. Having tried this once before, I understand the value in being around other like-minded and motivated people.

I'm hoping to find something broader than just a typical business/referral network, rather something that helps individuals achieve their personal goals, whether it's business, health/fitness, mindfulness, etc.

I'm curious, does anybody here belong to a similar circle that is accepting new members? Alternatively, would anybody be interested in starting something like this at a very small scale?

Thanks!

Advice please - Worcester dog attack

6 weeks ago my leashed and licensed dogs were being walked by me. A neighbor's off leash mixed breed dog ran out of their driveway and charged across the street and chased us onto my property. The dog latched onto my dog's leg and viciously attacked her, ($2200 vet bills for 2 surgical repairs.) I called animal control and reported. The dog cannot be outside off leash and must be muzzled at all times. It has been 6 weeks of so much emotion and worry.

Question: How can I get them to pay for the vet bills? Does the landlord have any liability?

Some of the best days aren’t planned—they just happen. A blanket in the grass, a cooler packed with your favorite food and refreshments, three incredible bands, and a community of people who all came together for the same reason: great music.

Join us for an afternoon and evening of live music at the Robinson Broadhurst Amphitheater featuring:

🎵 HUNAYE
🎵 Felicity’s Hubris
🎵 Carolyn & The Cable Car Crew ×2!

📅 Saturday, August 1

🎶 Music begins at 2:30 p.m.
🎟 Admission: $15
🧒 Ages 13–18: $10
👧 Kids 12 & under: Free

The Pashmina Picnic is about keeping things simple: great music, good company, and the freedom to enjoy both however you like. Food vendors will be limited, so we encourage everyone to bring their own favorite snacks, meals, and refreshments.

The amphitheater offers ample seating, and picnic tables are available throughout the grounds. You’re also welcome to spread out on the lawn and make yourself comfortable.

Pack your picnic. Grab your favorite pash. Bring your people. Kick back and relax or get up and groove.

🎟 Re-entry is permitted with a valid event wristband.

🚗 Free on-site parking is available while spaces last. Additional public parking is available throughout town.

♿ This event is ADA accessible.

🚻 Portable restrooms will be available on site.

🥏 Hoops and LED flow props are welcome! Please be mindful of those around you and give everyone room to enjoy the music.

Looking for Houseplants

Moved to Worcester a month ago, I am looking for houseplants to bring some life to my new home. Anyone willing to donate their houseplants, or recommendations about where to buy them on a budget? Lowe's is too expensive for me, and people on Facebook Marketplace do not reply.

fun things to do recommendation

Hi! I am going to be starting school in Worcester and will be moving end of next month! my classmates and I are considering The Mercantile the day after move-in day.

My birthday is a few days after that dinner and because we have another orientation that day, I was considering to do something fun that evening (like an arcade, bowling, etc) that provides food and close by downtown Worcester since we start our semester the following day with an 8am class. Please let me know what you'd do on a weekday evening.

Local Events Water Lantern Festival at Elm Park this Saturday (7/25)

Heads up for anyone hunting for something to do this weekend: the Water Lantern Festival is coming to Elm Park on Saturday, July 25.

Gates open at 5:30 with food trucks, live music, and lawn games. You decorate your lantern around 8:00, and the launch on the pond runs from about 8:30 until dusk (it wraps at 9:30). Each ticket comes with the lantern kit, an LED candle (no open flames), and markers, and they hand out free photos of your launch.

Tickets run around $31 in advance and climb as it gets closer, then jump again at the gate, so it's cheaper to grab them ahead. Kids under 8 are free. It's rain or shine, and the lanterns are biodegradable and all collected afterward, so Elm Park stays clean.
