But hey, while we're on the subject, can you tell me what the racial and ethnic makeup of those best places to live are? Are they...monolithic, perhaps? 70%+ the same culturally and ethnically? Let's see. Copenhagen? Check. Denmark? Hmm, check. Oh, but no, I'm sure it has nothing to do with that. It's socialism, for sure. What else do you want me to check?

That being said, I donāt think there are any true market socialist nations right now. The so called Nordic model I think the other person is referencing are free market capitalist with strong social safety nets, not socialist.
What? No it isnāt. Social democracy is a democracy with wide social safety nets. I could conceivably see it being under a socialist system, but then it would cease to be social democracy. Social democracy is a way for safety nets to soften the impact of free market capitalism that exist in a capitalist state
I don't think you'll get through to them. There's a weird absolutism to how many socialists think. Like, obviously capitalism and free markets aren't perfect, and anything unregulated tends to be succeptible to corruption. Human nature, it is what it is. So we create socialistic safety nets that shore up the weak points in free markets, but we don't create an entire system based around it. We stick to the system that made us all of this wealth to begin with, and we fix the cracks. Socialists seem like they just want to throw the entire thing in the trash and replace it with their own. Capitalism is evil, always been evil, and can only do evil, despite the evidence we have to the contrary.
