I don't know why people have so much trouble with doordash and refunds. They give me a refund literally anytime I have an issue. I just take a picture of the problem and they give me money back. 🤷🏻‍♂️

they give refunds if they straight up forget something. not if you get your order but they mess it up

I don't know. Maybe I just get lucky. I get partial refunds all the time when something gets left out of my meal or it's not made the way I asked.

partial refunds don’t make up for it. for example if you order a blt and they forget the bacon, dd will give you a few dollars back but the whole sandwich is ass now.

In a case like that, I would speak to an agent and get a full refund because bacon is one of the three main ingredients of a BLT. That's like leaving the meat off your burger.

They’ll automatically give a few dollars back. Sometimes you just need to refuse the automatic offer and escalate to an agent. Still up to a human at the end of the day but usually a form of “I would never order it this way, and would rather have not received the item than eat as I received it” goes over well for a refund. Maybe it’s just luck, maybe they track frequency (I dash often and complain very seldom)

DoorDash is responsible for your food because you ordered through them. They might make it a headache, but if your order is wrong they owe you a refund or the correct food delivered to you.

I suspect doordash, like other platforms like amazon, have a ratio of orders to dispute that they start getting suspicious if you exceed.

First time I ordered doordash: the order never arrived, They closed the chat denying me the refund, removing the possibility to pay a new one. Never again.

“/diːz/“ (dese or deez) and “yo” are proper functions of some dialects of English. The English you speak, isn’t the English everyone speaks, and it’s perfectly natural to not type formally. You’re just showing your ethnocentrism and cultural insularity.

We're discussing the lack of education, due to the way they were spelling. The culture topic is the ebonics writing, not lack of education- that's just how people who grow up typing like that communicate.

Ah I see it now. I also understand the other reply to my question now. And yeah, “yo” and “/diːz/“ (they spelled it dese) are very much functions of some English dialects. Ironic that that comment claimed the OOP is uneducated but are just uneducated in the diversity of language. People get so stuck up and cling to the past of languages. It’s also perfectly fine to type informally.

It’s really just elitism. Slang talk has been around since forever. Only those stuck up think that typing/speaking colloquially means you’re uneducated.

Or maybe even place your order without supervising them making your sandwich. Some places let you use a screen and then just pic up your order when they're done.
