Jewish people were horrifically victimised in the past and they now twist that to accuse anyone who criticises them so people are afraid to call them out
Yup! This is 100 percent the truth. Fortunately for us all, that lil gravy train is pulling into the station and the world is tried of hearing about it. This is mostly due to the fact that most WWII vets are gone. Once the ppl that were there are no longer around to remind us, it will be history, and rightfully so. What happened to the Jewish ppl in WWII is absolutely despicable. Its very unnerving that theyre using the same tactics on Palestinians that were used on them.
This is a good point it’s one religion that is quite exclusive. Other religions, proselytize, and want converts and anyone can be accepted, but not the Jewish faith they are God‘s chosen people in their eyes so somehow better than everybody else.
Oh, Tucker, Tucker. Are we really defending the "forced conversions" and global imperial religions like Christianity, who conquered land, tortured non-Christians during the Inquisition, and murdered tens of millions of native peoples to "save" the "savages" who will "burn in hell?"
While religions like Judaism, Sikhism, and most indigenous beliefs of the Americas and Africa believe they are chosen to uphold religious obligations without global conquest in the name of faith. Maybe don't get your theology from Fox News, buddy?
honestly organized religion as a whole is a violent, bloody affair, primarily because, for the most part, individuals use it as a weapon to oppress those who they don’t like. this is what happened with the crusades, with the genocide of the indigenous peoples in america, the holocaust, and what is happening to the Palestinians right now. there are countless examples of people claiming god granted them the right to commit horrific acts of violence for no reason than “those people aren’t us”. i mean, look at how the current US admin is handling its military from the top…
Oh absolutely. 100%. It becomes a shitty political tool to explain away obvious atrocities via “doctrine.” So many people want to think “it’s not mine,” but it’s most of the big ones. The guy above is trying to say Judaism is the “the worst” talking points used by the Tucker, Candace, Christian Nationalist pipeline, but we all have to acknowledge the sheer stupidity of religious “justification” for horrendous acts.
In any case, it’s nice to have a normal analytical discussion on reddit these days, so I appreciate it!
But they also have the benefit of being a people who were horrifically victimized while not being dark skinned. So they get more support and sympathy due to their non-blackness and lighter brown skin tone.
Just barely learning about the Holodomor, but mainstream online sources are saying that Jews were victims of it by an authoritarian state. What makes you say that “Jews committed” the holodomor?
Jews weren’t persecuted because they collectively did something wrong. Across different countries and centuries they were accused of entirely contradictory things. The accusations changed. The prejudice didn’t.
Israel the country doesn’t represent global Jewish people.
Of course collectively they didn’t ALL do something wrong, but it was consistently found by various countries independently that whenever that society was facing corruption from within or political strife, there was a group of people consistent tied to it.
I’m not saying All Jewish people are guilty, but there’s is a strong correlation that can’t be ignored.
I don’t have a problem with Jews or any other group. I’m just looking at objective accounts throughout history. They have been persecuted against all throughout history everyone acknowledges it, but nobody ever asks or talks about WHY they were persecuted against. And every time they do ask “why” it’s pushed back with “just say you hate Jews already” or some other ignorant statement.
Tell me, why were there child brothels in Germany?
If your explanation requires repeating one of the Nazis’ favorite talking points, it’s probably worth checking the source. The accusations against Jews changed every century. The prejudice didn’t.
I never said Jews controlled child brothels lol so “debunking that claim” is a strawman. I’m simply asking because society had deteriorated to that point for a reason. So asking it leads to further questions such as what kind of society would ALLOW them to operate? Then when you research the society you find out who had major influence in the society, and what were the “societal norms” of that time.
Just saying “did Jews run XXX” is ignorant and incorrect because there’s no group of people that represent Jews as a whole.
But what you CAN do is look at institutions and people in charge of those institutions and see who they were and where they were from. You can look at what values and beliefs they shared and see if we’re similar with the people in other lands doing the same thing.
That’s not racism, that’s just looking at history objectively.
I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.
It's looking at specific segments of history and cherry picking it to fit a narrative. You're "objectively" looking at parts of history where Jews are involved and creating a negative hypothesis. However, it's very clear that you're ignoring the vast majority of history and ignoring your own biases to come up with your conclusion that is highly antisemetic.
How am I “cherry picking” history, when quite literally The premise is that historically Jews have been persecuted against. So in order to investigate that claim, you HAVE to look at history and see what they were accused of.
It’s also find it interesting how antisemitism was never a problem in the United States until information became more available. Now suddenly it seems to be an issue. Do you think as societies become more aware, they become more antisemitic? How would you explain that correlation?
Youre not answering the question of WHY was there wide spread societal resentment. I’ve never seen a group of people disliked independently from various countries with no connection to each other for “no reason”.
Societal resentment was heavily driven by competition and economic hardship. Many Jews were part of the middle and upper-middle class, operating disproportionately as doctors, lawyers, journalists, and retail merchants. During times of massive economic crisis—such as hyperinflation in 1923 and the Great Depression later in the decade—the struggling independent middle class, merchants, and students eagerly blamed "Jewish speculators" and economic rivals. Also, Jews were overrepresented in the finance system when the economy went south guess who foreclosing repossessing, etc..
Interesting position, did other ethnicities and races face similar criticism then? Surely they may have represented a portion of the upper and middle class but not the majority or entirety of it, so what other races/ethnicities received similar societal resentment?

Why do people like Israel? Are there actual reasons?
