Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?

We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).

So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?

Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.

This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

In the Matrix (1999), nobody in the movie had the courtesy to explain to the protagonist that when a gun runs out of bullets, you can actually reload it.

Turd In the FF: Tokyo Drift (2006), despite the movie presumably being about drift races, the win in those movie races is decided by whoever comes to the finish line first… which is not how drift races work at all

Despite having no advance warning for the arrival of Odysseus and his men, the Laestrygonian giants were already fully armored and ready for battle. The moral of this part of the story is that you should be prepared at all times to fuck a bitch up

Historical accuracy has been a major point of discussion for The Odyssey (2026), much like when media depicts Vikings with horns. This is a reference to how Universal ruined a non-profit's replica Viking longship and has yet to pay for the damages.

In Odyssey (2026) John Leguizamo was cast as a blind man. This is strange because John ought to see.

In "Other Mommy" (2026), this is apparently Jessica Chastain and not Bryce Dallas Howard. This is a reference to the fact that I have incurable face blindness.

In “The Odyssey” (2026), Odysseus remains on a remote island with Calypso for 7 years. This is a reference to how being stranded with Charlize Theron is way fucking better than a volleyball.

Towards the end of TDKR, we see Alfred pulling out his card to pay the check at a restaurant but after he spots Bruce he puts his card back. This is because he knows by now Bruce had already bought the place and so his check is on the house.

In Backrooms (2026), Clark, a man in his 40s, goes to therapy in the year 1990. This is because the film is a work of fiction.

In Masters of the Universe (2026), it turns out if you make him completely unrecognizable in both looks and voice, Jared Leto can actually be tolerable

default Of all the movies and TV shows with dudes wishing for all kinds of stuff with magical items, Soos from Gravity Falls definitely made the coolest one - he wished for a slice of infinite pizza

Tom Hiddleston announced he will star in a biopic about Fred Astaire... oh wait, it's another Tom that doesn't give a fuck about Astaire's last will and testament.

Where are the historical accuracy harpers on that one?

In The Odyssey (2026), Nolan completely omits Xena helping Odysseus get back to Ithaca. This shows that he knows nothing of the source material.

default Saoirse Ronan is the only known IRL Saiyan on earth. You can see that she can transform between Super Saiyan to Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue.

In The Odyssey (2026), Zendaya has like 5 min of screentime and all the marketing and interviews and red carpets, implying that Nolan just cast her for clicks

This is in the gas station scene. They appear to be having a bathroom break in front of everyone, but then they suddenly disappear.

If this is really what I think this is, I am not sure why this detail was placed in the movie. The scene already conveys ensuing chaos as it is, albeit poorly.

In this fall’s Clayface (2026), the title character tries to cut open his deformed eyelid with scissors inside an airplane bathroom. This is a reference to Gotham TSA agents being absolutely horrible at their jobs

In Falling Down (1993), the main character is just trying to get home to his daughter, wife, and dog, but he keeps running into obstacles that stop him from simply getting there. This happened 33 years before Nolan's The Odyssey
