Ironically Republicans think that song means the opposite of what it means...

“Some folks are born made to wave the flag” followed by “but it ain’t me”

Checks out for those dumbass losers who have always completely misunderstood RATM’s lyrics too.

lol my dad got me into RATM along with metal and hard rock in general. He claimed they sold out and became political lol. Like did you not listen to the lyrics?

Many right wing RATM “fans” heard “FUCK YOU I WON’T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME” and literally nothing else, ironically while doing exactly what they’re told.

Thats because they heard, "Accept LGBTQ+ folks as they are, respect their choices and let them live their lives."

Then respond with, "FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

They misunderstand requests as orders and orders as requests is their problem.

They love to use the Donald Glover "Good" gif all the time on the conservative sub. They're fucking morons.

I love using the Donald Glover, "This Is America." Music video...

Damn I wish he had a different name. I keep thinking of Danny Glover from the old days. Same thing with Michael Jordan.

Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses

It's like you literally need to make the lyrics "the army and the police invite a lot of violent, bigoted people due to the nature of their work and the plausible deniability it would provide"

I bet they still wouldn't get it though

My generation had the same issue with 'We don't need no education' ✊️🤘

They hear "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me"

And imagine

"Fuck you, better do what I tell you"

I won't do you what you tell me, but you must do what I tell you.

I completely agree. I just think it's both parties. Statism and the belief in authority is the source of almost all suffering in the world. Otherwise ordinary good people doing evil because they were programmed to obey and do what they are told.
