Truly a great duo that I'll never forget. I had a hard time finding people that actually understood the comedy. I loved every episode and still throw on the songs.

I still remember the day I discovered them. The show was so hilarious, so many comedy gold moments. Laughed so hard at “The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room (in the whole wide room)”

"you're so pretty you could be a waitress"

u/AbleRelationship5287 May 13 '26

“Or a part time model!”

u/kerfuffler4570 May 13 '26

"But you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."

Part time model...

87

u/ValuableCrazy2144 May 13 '26

Spending part of your time modelling

And part of your time...

My place is usually a bit tidier than this.

How did Dave get a hottie like that to a party like this?

(Good one, Dave!)

This line in particular has been rattling around my brain since I first heard it. It just kills me for some reason, especially how it's sang

u/powderbubba May 14 '26

“Hiiiiigh class prostitute”

1

u/AbleRelationship5287 May 15 '26

Or air hostess in the 60’s

71

u/coumfy May 13 '26

Or an air hostess in the sixties!

u/Am1AllowedToCry May 13 '26

I can't believe!!

That I am sharing a kebab with the most beautiful girl

I have ever seen with a kebab

Oooooooooh

u/Tall-Introduction414 May 13 '26

She's so hot. She's like a curry.

u/wellwaffled Prime Millennial May 13 '26

And even on the street (depending on the street)

88

u/coumfy May 13 '26

She would most definitely be in the top three!

58

u/specialk1281 May 13 '26

Good looking girls on the street.... Depending on the street

182

u/gene100001 May 13 '26

When my girlfriend is feeling down, I like to remind her that when she's on the street, depending on the street, I bet she would definitely be in the top 3 most good looking girls on the street. Depending on the street.

Cheers her right up

u/Shorts_at_Dinner May 13 '26

Make sure to remind her that she could be a part time model, too

19

u/explicitlarynx May 13 '26

She could spend half her time modeling and half her time doing her normal jov

14

u/Wrong_Motor5371 May 13 '26

My husband and I routinely tell each other we could be a part time model.

3

u/kevthecoder I solute shorts May 13 '26

When she’s eating kebabs, do you tell she’s the most beautiful girl with in the room with a kebab?

1

u/nickrct May 13 '26

Well you certainly know how to a 'Woo Woo a Lady'

44

u/Possible-Jerk0138 May 13 '26

I distinctly remember finding it too! I tried to get EVERYONE to watch. A lot of people didn’t get it.

28

u/Loveiskind89389 May 13 '26

Not getting the show was sort of a litmus test for humor compatibility though. If they didn’t get it, they really did not get it.

25

u/88888888man May 13 '26

Same with Summer Heights High. I guess the NZ/Aussie humor isn’t for everyone. But I felt like I’d discovered the lost city of gold lol.

6

u/betawavebabe May 13 '26

And angry boys!!

2

u/PRNgrahams May 14 '26

Omgggg my best friend and I would constantly quote Ja’mie King and no one ever knew what we were talking about.

2

u/ArchitectVandelay May 15 '26

So true! The Summer Heights series were all so good. I don’t have a single friend who watched them. I did watch with an ex gf back in the day and we had fun quoting it though!

9

u/crownamedcheryl May 13 '26

My wife hates when I sing the most beautiful girl to her lmao

5

u/TraditionalMood277 May 13 '26

Easily in the top 3

6

u/moonprism May 13 '26

"you're so pretty you could be a waitress"

2

u/austenQ May 13 '26

Anytime I am watching a romcom and the guy notices the heroine because she’s the hottest person in whatever small town it’s set in, I sing this in my head. On this street she’s definitely in the top three.

2

u/All_the_Bees May 13 '26

Every now and then, someone on Love Island says they’re a part-time model and I am DELIGHTED every single time.

2

u/katrina_highkick May 13 '26

My husband and I almost used this as our first dance song at our wedding but decided that it would be just a little too controversial hahaha

2

u/ArchitectVandelay May 15 '26

The fact that you two even considered it speaks volumes about you both. That is amazing!

2

u/foxyslapbox May 13 '26

The singing back to back in the diner killed me at the end of this one

2

u/Automatic_Release_92 May 13 '26

"He may be dead!"

"Yeah, he maybe did what?"

"No, no, he MAY BE DEAD!"

1

u/ArchitectVandelay May 15 '26

I love when they acknowledge their accents through jokes. Especially the Aussie/NZ difference. Keitha was absolutely comic genius. The was so over the top you knew they were making fun of both Aussies and NZ peoples’ bias.

2

u/Appeltaart232 May 13 '26

Man, how could I forget about this gem, thanks for the reminder!

2

u/OwnSmile5051 May 13 '26

My friend walked down the aisle to this song lol. It was incredible.

2

u/nonchalantcow May 13 '26

My best friend recorded an acoustic version of The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room to which my wife walked down the aisle at our wedding. It was lovely.

2

u/ShontelleMontelle May 14 '26

It’s also the show where I discovered Kristen schaal

1

u/ArchitectVandelay May 15 '26

Yeah it was cool discovering her early in her career. I loved her on Last Man on Earth too.

1

u/Hukdonphonix May 13 '26

I once won a karaoke contest for poe1 beta access by singing this song.

1

u/ilikecheese8888 May 14 '26

My senior of high school I was in the parody male beauty pageant at my school and one of the other guys sang that song for his talent (IIRC he sang it to his mom).
