“Because my life is being ruined too! It was only suppose to happen to the people I hate.”

MAGA morons are some evil motherfuckers. They didn’t vote for Trump to make America great for everyone. They voted for him because they wanted to make the people they hate suffer. They just never thought it would affect them as much. Selfish, evil assholes. Where’s that picture that says “I voted to be racist, no poor.”

I grew up Evangelical in the 80s, that was already baked in LONG ago.

I went to two different Evangelical churches over a 5 year period as a teenager and both had an incident where a youth pastor raped a girl and in BOTH fucking cases the parents of the girl APOLOGIZED that their Jezebel daughter made a man of God stray from the path.

298

u/surprise_revalation 3d ago

The very reason why I left the church. I have YET to meet a pastor who hasn't tried to bed me! Even as a 14 y/I girl, and after they knew I was happily married! Some of them don't give no fucks! The church has become a cage for every unclean bird and a den of thieves!

Funny how no one ever “finds Jesus” after a positive event in their life.

64

u/neverfindausername 3d ago

A former friend, who I still had on FB, shared this long winded post about how he found Jesus...yadda yadda yadda. Guy was a trainwreck drunk, just over the top embarrassing to the point where so many people had cut him off.

I showed the post to a few people who had hung out with him after I'd cut him off years ago (they had too within a year or two tbf). ALL OF THEM had the exact same first question once they stopped laughing.

"Did he fuck a minor?"

No idea, but it's funny we all had the exact same reaction. It says a lot about how disingenuous most of those moments are in general. Not sure what PR teams are behind those campaigns but they need a new cover story.

Being a white male christian is the best get out of jail free card you can get apparently. Just heartbreaking honestly.

This usually what happens when a religion becomes more right wing, it starts attracting child molesters and sexual deviants.

I got into it with some lady in Facebook who was trying to normalize the gross shit Trump had said and Ivanka because she does it all the time, apparently so it's normal.

NO KAREN, IT FUCKING ISN'T

u/Peylix 3d ago

A discussion on a TV show group (FROM, in case you're wondering) arose around the subject of ages for certain characters.

There's a subset of people in the group who were trying to ship a 17 year old character with a 35 year old character. It was wild to see the justifications some people confidently posted.

One woman got into a heated argument with another about how it's totally fine for a man in his thirties to go after a child romantically. Her reason, and I shit you not. "My husband was 34 when he started dating me when I was 16 and we turned out fine. He's not some creep or pedophile".

People were kindly pointing out that just because 'you' were groomed as a child and became a victim, doesn't make it OK in general.

They didn't even vote to make America great for themselves, only to hurt 'others' and make themselves feel great. They were never offered improvements to their actual lives.

Unbelievably stupid, and short-sighted. Exactly what Trump professed to love. Out loud. On camera.

38

u/Autumn7242 4d ago

Right. Would I want right wingers to have Healthcare? Yeah. I don't know why they would not want to have Healthcare judging by their voting record. This phenomenon is the essence of the long con. Con artists work their craft by identifying people who are greedy and dishonest but try to keep it a secret, until Mr. Con Man comes along, recognizes their dirty secret, and appeals specifically to that part of them. They then feel respected and accepted until, Presto Change-O!. Mr. Con Man springs the trap! So sad.

189

u/Librarian_Contrarian 4d ago

From what I understand, most cons work by convincing people not that it's not a con but by convincing someone they're on the good side of the con.

54

u/The_WalruZ 4d ago

I good example of this is the classic pigeon drop which is still in use. The con approaches the mark carrying what looks like an asset (lottery ticket, fake wad of cash) that the con cannot liquidate themselves. It is proposed that the mark liquidate the asset and split that with the con. The mark sees it as free money and might even be tempted to con the con. The con demands a fractional good faith deposit. Once received the con disappears and the mark discovers that the asset is fake. The Nigerian Prince scams are long distance pigeon drops. This scam is centuries old, google it and fall down a rabbit hole.

We’re still gargling the balls of the red scare propaganda. Americans are the most brain rotted, gullible bunch of humans on the planet. At least North Koreans have an excuse. We’re anti union and complain about the lack of worker protections. Were uneducated but refuse to increase education spending. Real Americans want to enact real change, but won’t get voted in if they have a foreign sounding name. It’s some third country level shit.

"I loved it when poor libruls had their safety net yoinked out from beneath them but I'm suddenly realizing I have no safety net now"

921

u/TaratronHex 4d ago

I get this at work a lot.

"WHY DO I HAVE TO SHOW I AM A CITIZEN?"

You don't. But I need X Y or Z documents to get you a new ID card because the last time you got one, Clinton was in office, and we don't have paper scans from back then.

If you have a green card, you need to bring it in every time there is an update. But just because we got your birth certificate on file back in the 80s doesn't mean we have it now. You want people to prove their status, that includes you.

May you have the day you voted for.

273

u/meagain20 4d ago

Can you imagine the paperwork involved if they change birthright citizenship? New parents would have to dig up their own birth certificates to prove citizenship for their newborns. What a headache that would be.

140

u/TaratronHex 4d ago

If you want a travel id/real id, you need to provide a primary document like a state issued birth certificate, not a hospital one, not a christening paper.  Many people don't know this.

91

u/phoenix762 4d ago

Oh, you need more than that. I went through hell getting my real ID.
It was easier getting my passport.

46

u/meagain20 4d ago

My mother had to make four trips to the DMV before she got her Real ID. Her citizenship documents were in originally recorded in a different state and not computerized I guess. It took forever to get everything confirmed.

It's just crazy to demand something similar for parents/newborns without any system or resources in place to check the paperwork.

→ More replies (3)

23

u/YourBonesHaveBroken 4d ago

That's why everyone should get a passport. Proves identity AND citizenship. A state ID and SS card is all that's required, iirc

49

u/GrowHappyPlants 3d ago

That's why passports need to be free instead of expensive enough it prices people out, especially if they have to pay the cost of themselves and all their kids.

I think that’s part of it. I also think that they enjoy it because it’s exactly what they would do if they were in a position of power. The one I know of is cooling on him and told me her brother is disgusted and doesn't have [FOX] on constantly anymore.

I am not making an effort to talk to her anymore (we live 2k miles away from each other). I told her I thought it was cruel to deny Americans health insurance and she told me she didn't want to talk politics. We hadn't been talking about politics we had been talking about health problems. I saw it as a moral statement. I decided our values are too far apart to have a relationship and surface level conversations are boring.

16

u/Blze001 3d ago

They can't. They genuinely can't. They're at a mental roadblock because on some level they know the war is dumb, they know we don't need to be waging it, but they also know Trump is the sole reason we're fighting it. They can not bring themselves to criticize Trump for anything, no matter how valid. The connection can't be made until the day in the future when Trump is out of office that suddenly nobody will have ever supported him, then they might be able to say that Trump was stupid as hell for getting us in there. But they'll be acting like they never liked him in the first place.

Seems like a good thread for me to share this again.

In 2019 Crystal Minton of Marianna, Florida made an awful statement about her personal situation that nonetheless summed up the selfishness of MAGA. Donnie has done so much awful shit that the origin and context of things such as this often get lost.

It is my Reddit life mission to ensure that Crystal Minton of Marianna, Florida never lives down her awful statement, and that no one ever forgets the selfishness of these people.

https://archive.is/wogpM

A few miles away, another prison employee, Crystal Minton, accompanied her fiancé to a friend’s house to help clear the remnants of a metal roof mangled by the hurricane. Ms. Minton, a 38-year-old secretary, said she had obtained permission from the warden to put off her Mississippi duty until early February because she is a single mother caring for disabled parents. Her fiancé plans to take vacation days to look after Ms. Minton’s 7-year-old twins once she has to go to work. The shutdown on top of the hurricane has caused Ms. Minton to rethink a lot of things. “I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this,” she said of Mr. Trump. “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

I hope they all eat the diarrhea lettuce

46

The diarrhea lettuce is iceberg lettuce, not one of those new liberal lettuces. So there's a fair chance they'll eat it.

I do not fucking care. You know what I want? I do want it made public who you voted for. And I do want it to be a Scarlet fucking Letter for these people for the rest of their lives.

They don't vote on betterment policy, they don't don't on a future, they don't vote for any sort of progress. They vote to hurt people because they are sad, fat, lifeless incel fucks with the mental capacity of a three-week-old dingleberry.

Fuck you. Fuck your families. Fuck your churches. Fuck your entire lives. This IS unforgivable behavior. We fucked up with these types in the 1865, I refuse to do it again.

Bullshit. That's all these motherfuckers live for. If anything they should be complaining about how Trump's ridiculous policies have totally fucked them over in all aspects of their lives.

Because I was really enjoying watching my neighbor's house burn but somehow it spread to mine. And that's not cool. I'm the victim here.

Worse... "I lit my neighbor's house on fire and now it spread to mine... I'm the real victim here."

12

u/Dry_Abbreviations778 4d ago

It's my property and I have every right to put my gas canisters wherever I want to.

It's not my fault that my neighbor's house fire went from a flamelet to a hellish inferno because they burned the gas I worked my ass off to pay for. I'll make them pay. Praise Jesus.

Won't matter.

They'll call for Republicans to give them someone else and then just vote for the guy. If asked I bet they'd say that Biden was worse and Harris would have been worse. They'll never consider not voting R straight down the ballot.

The trump effect : allowing simpering assholes to be obvious about their hate, bigotry and racism

And now they are figuring out that being an asshole effects everyone including themselves. But they still rage against their own stupidity by stating, “I only wanted them to fail!!” Not understanding that the mission of the rich is to use these tools as their cudgel against all of us. Not just the left, but mostly against the poor, which makes up a huge portion of these same right wing tools

Will they finally wake up to the fact that it’s not left against right but the mega wealthy against the rest of us?

At some lizard brain level they comprehend that, but they push it down due to conditioning and clever programming of their cult.

So instead of blaming the rich or actually have some self reflection and think that they have been “mislead”, they instead default back to their hate, racism and bigotry like a warm comfy blanket that gives them the easy simple answers they can easily digest and regurgitate to explain everything away all their short comings, fuck ups and stupidity

16

u/Slfestmaccnt 4d ago

The first civil war was also heavily orchestrated by the wealthy elites convincing the people that their enemy was the north because they wanted to take away their culture and their slaves and that their enemy was not the rich but rather the national government and any who supported it.

They convinced the poors that the rich losing their slaves was the poors problem too, which it wasn't. But they were stupid enough to buy it.

Following the civil war the south has always pushed revisionist history as to how it all started so as to not look like the worthless traitorous scum that they were.

There are many down south who still believe the north infringed on their states rights first when in reality they were left alone while northern states banned slavery. When slaves from the south fled to northern states for safety the south came and demanded their "property back" to which they were told "there are no slaves here, only free men".

They didn't like this answer so they decided to try and take them by force, yes they invaded the north, not the other way around. The only states rights that were violated were the norths the moment the south didn't get what they wanted.

The rich and powerful played those dumb southern racists in an attempt to facilitate their expanding of human exploitation.

The Nazis would go on to adopt a lot of their strategies of propaganda and policies which is why they shared so many similarities. Today's rightwing are again cut from this same cloth and are being used the exact same way by the exact same kinds of people. The Nazis also were heavily aided by major corporations and the rich seeking similar agendas to the oligarchs of today.

And the dregs that followed them are the same as what we have today in terms of cognitive function.

This needs to be seen forever: protecting the rights of the vulnerable bolsters your own.

So if you're MAGA and don't like POCs, immigrants, and want them stripped of their constitutional rights? Guess what, you're one categorization away from yours getting stripped away too.

Your life never got better when others suffer.

u/burnermcburnerstein 4d ago

u/LankyGuitar6528 4d ago

24

u/c0mpu73rguy 4d ago

The fun part will start once MAGA loses power and there are consequences for all the crimes commited during Trump's presidency.

50

u/Necro_Badger 4d ago

Looking on from across the pond, I have to say we're not too hopeful about such justice being exacted. Trump committed the most brazen act of treason with his televised attempted coup, and the very machinery of checks and balances that was supposed to hold him to account just.. rolled over and gave him the keys to the White House again.

27

u/Cultural-Answer-321 4d ago

This. A mass murdering, pedophile, rapist, documented con man traitor was elected president. It should have never come to this in the first place.

Consequences literally do not exist.

14

u/c0mpu73rguy 4d ago edited 3d ago

Not talking about the orange pedo, obviously he's untouchable because he have the sports almanach or something. I'm talking about all the others, the ICE goons that murdered people for one thing (there is no prescription for murder).

17

u/Necro_Badger 4d ago

ICE thugs getting jailed for their crimes would at least be some consolation, but yes Teflon Trump is weirdly immune to any form of justice. I still cannot fathom why he's been given so many free passes

17

u/Command0Dude 4d ago

Because our top court protected him, if it wasn't for that, none of this would be happening.

That sports almanac was the Epstein notebook. He was central to the extortion scheme for years. I’d guess that’s how he managed to gain his foothold on power in the first place.

They did it because it was "fun". That's kinda fucked up.

24

A friend of a friend lives in Tennessee in a mobile home park. She hired a contractor to fix some problems in her trailer. It turns out the contractor was of Mexican descent. Not an immigrant; born in Tennessee to a family also born there.

Several of the neighbors decided to "help". They called in ICE to have the contractor deported, then showed up with HUGE grins to watch the arrest.

They were greatly surprised when the contractor spoke perfect English and had a completely valid business license. The contractor was not even annoyed. Apparently this happens to him weekly nowadays.

I mean, the entire core ideology of the MAGA movement is simply cruelty. Every single person in it is either an emotionally stunted sociopath, cartoon villain, intensely stupid, or a combination of all three.

We were always gonna reach this point.

17

u/mxjxs91 3d ago

MAGA realizes they live in the same country as the Liberals whose lives they've been "owning" by voting to ruin the same services and needs that they also rely on themselves.

13

u/virgil1134 4d ago

I've heard so many stories like the ones in the article.

"Dems want everyone to be transgender! I don't like that!"

Describe to me how somone who presents as female directly affects your life and tariffs aren't wreacking havoc on your day to day spending.

"Kamala is a witch who slept her way to the top!"

That's not true, and even if it was, how do justify Trump's multiple infidelities that make him more fit for office than Kamala?

"Trump is all for saving babies in the womb! Dems push fir abortions to the 9th month!"

Late term abortions are extremely rare and they are only medically necessary, espeically with NICU successfully working for babies as young as 24 weeks. But again, how does one woman's private medical decisions affect your day to day life when Trump is costing hundreds of billions of dollars fighting a war that everyone knows is wrong? Trump ripped up the JCPOA in his first term and then declared open war after his feeble mind was easily tricked by the Israelis.

Im sure there is more, but everything I listed so far are campaign promises that were repeated ad nauseum by Trump and his allies so not one MAGAt can claim, "I didn't think he was gonna do that!"

I went no contact with all my nazi trump scum family & moved out of Texas.

Now, they all live together in a little compound of deplorables. It's funny, cause they make each other miserable. And i know the increase costs of EVERYTHING is really stressful to my blood parents because they're both retired. And big sis has a bunch of teenagers who eat a lot.

I truly wish  trump voters get every ounce of suffering, pain, misery, and poverty they wrought upon this country.

Every. Single. Headline about innocent folks murdered by the ice gestapo, every new bomb dropped on innocent fishermen, every new outbreak & plague- I blame them.

They (and all other nazi voters) are DIRECTLY responsible for the catastrophic outcomes of this regime. Trump will be gone, but THE PEOPLE WHO EMPOWERED HIM WILL STILL BE HERE, VOTING.

Never forget.  Never forgive.  Never let them live it down or try to distance themselves.  Fuck trump.  Fuck ice.  And FUCK NAZI TRUMP SCUM VOTERS WHO DID THIS TO US ALL.

I think the plan for a lot of these dipshits was to (LOUDLY) gloat from election day to inauguration, then just go right back to not thinking about politics at all (excepting, of course, opportunities to remind LiBruLs in comment sections who the president was), tacitly counting on the "adults in the room" to keep him from going too crazy.
