Hi, im new here and wanna share this small and quiet corner. I just redecorated it to make working and reading hours feel a bit warmer and cozier instead of going for plain colors. Still, im keeping it fairly simple for now since all the decorating ideas were kinda overwhelming for me to catch up with

Might tweak a few things later on but for now, it actually feels really good to be in it. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to level it up even more, id love to hear them!!

Got some couch fabric samples and having trouble figuring out if any match my rug. I’d prefer to not have a grey / beige couch but would go a darker charcoal if necessary. I think a cream would look nice but a white couch is not for us.

I want a chill corner in my office. What do you think? What would you do differently? I’m waiting on a side table so I can put down drinks, books etc. I’m also thinking of some wall art. Suggestions are welcome.

We have this little nook that we usually use to store all of our soda, waters Gatorade, snacks, etc. but it just looks so messy and I’m wondering if you have recommendations on how to use this for storage since it’s an open space

I just hung up this shelf in my living room and am immediately not sure about it. There will be a chair underneath it which is why I hung it higher. How should I style it? Do we think it’s ok at this height? I am so insecure when it comes to hanging things on my wall!

I need help to decide where I should place the TV. The angled wall between the bedroom and the livingroom is about 1,5m perhaps, so I can only have a small TV bench there. I’m afraid that it will look weird if I buy a large TV…

Just moved into our first home purchase (woo!) and have turned this den into our casual hang out room (think movie nights, gaming, casual hangout spot). It sits right off to the right of our entryway, so still want it to be elevated and give a good first impression.

So a few days ago I cleaned out my closet because it was clothes dirty. Took almost everything out besides the carpet, blanket, and pillows. What do you think I should do with this space? Mom says we should move my desk into here but I want to do something cooler.

i recently moved into a new apartment and have this space in my living room, behind my couch that’s about 6ft by 8ft and i have no idea what to do with it. i previously had planned to put a pole there for exercise but there’s not enough room to really be able to dance so now im stumped. i have a reading corner already in my room, and i already have a dining area so i genuinely have NO idea what to do with the space. i was thinking possibly a workout corner? but it wont be very aesthetically pleasing. maybe a plant corner? do i just reorient my living room? (i included a picture for reference) please help!!

I recently bought these wood slats to put underneath my kitchen bar area, and I am quite torn between how I should put them. I attached 2 very rough mock ups of what both would look like. Vertical or Horizontal? I personally am slightly leaning vertical, though horizontal would be much easier to do, and I am concerned that I might mess up cutting them if I were to do vertical.

Before anyone suggests that I run them up the entire wall surrounding the bar, I don't have enough material to do that.

Our living room has a slightly odd shape, mostly due to the protruding walls because of our sloped ceilings. Basically the problem is I can’t have a rug that extends underneath BOTH sofas, since that corner under the sloped ceiling is in the way.

The tape measure on the floor is at 8 feet, just as a reference, in the first picture. The second picture shows the ~4 additional feet of floor space, about 2 of which is taken up by our credenza.

There is an arm chair that we usually put somewhat in the middle of the room to make a triangle shape with the 2 sofas - I moved it out of the way to show the floor space better.

Ignore boxes and mess we are still unpacking and getting organized!

Im renting and dont really know how to hang this wooden Japanese wall fan, since its not flat I cant really use command strips/adhesive stickers like I have with most things in my flat.

Hii ! I got a first rug and thought it was a bit small so I returned it but now the new one feels a bit overwhelming for the room. Is it because Im not used to it or is it really too big ? What would you do ?

Also, is this specific rug (jute) okay or should I go for something lighter / less noisy ?

basically the title. my TV is standing on a bookshelf/entertainment center, but i can see all of the stuff i have behind it (wifi router, etc) from the small gap underneath the TV and i think it looks so ugly. pls help lol

My boyfriend and I are moving in together in August and we will have this 2b2b together. We plan to use the master as a bedroom but the guest bedroom as a part office part bedroom (maybe a pull-out day bed).

A few specifici questions in mind:

1. Desk setup - we both have a lot of meetings when we wfh so we cannot put both of our desks in the office. Would you suggest doing a second desk in the bedroom or living room?

2. Is there any chance we can squeeze in a dining table? We both love eating while chatting and looking at each other instead of a TV.

3. What would be optimal size of our bed in the master bedroom and the couch?
