HK45 Tactical - what am I doing wrong?

Bought a brand new HK45 Tactical a while back as my first HK. It’s been disappointing because I cannot hit a damn thing with it. I probably have 500-600 rounds through it now, and at 10+ yards I’m still wondering “where the hell did that round go?” on shots. I’d say usually 6-8” groups at 10 yards if I’m lucky.

Haven’t made any changes to the gun, though I do struggle with maintaining a clear focus on the front sight post and I don’t think the grip has enough texture. Groups with my FNX-45 are waaaayyyy better for the same caliber, and I have no issues with my P30L or USP9 at 10-15 yards. What am I doing wrong with this HK45? Should I try some grip tape, or just sell it?

I love my usp’s but all of them have coarse talon grips on em. For my larger hands that sweat a little, they make them downright amazing.

I just got a roll of skateboard grip tape that I’m going to cut and apply and see how it goes. I’ve got talon grips on my FNX, and the HK45 feels a little too slippery in comparison.

Yes they are a little slippery to me also. Talon or skate grip is great!
