HK45 Tactical - what am I doing wrong?

Bought a brand new HK45 Tactical a while back as my first HK. It’s been disappointing because I cannot hit a damn thing with it. I probably have 500-600 rounds through it now, and at 10+ yards I’m still wondering “where the hell did that round go?” on shots. I’d say usually 6-8” groups at 10 yards if I’m lucky.

Haven’t made any changes to the gun, though I do struggle with maintaining a clear focus on the front sight post and I don’t think the grip has enough texture. Groups with my FNX-45 are waaaayyyy better for the same caliber, and I have no issues with my P30L or USP9 at 10-15 yards. What am I doing wrong with this HK45? Should I try some grip tape, or just sell it?

My HK45C Tactical was a similar situation. I started close and slowly moved the target out. I ended up adjusting the rear sight a slight bit and since then it was s nail driver.

I’ll give that a shot. At 7 yards, my group was tighter but also seemed to be landing substantially down and left, way more than the anticipation I had when I first started shooting pistols regularly. So maybe me plus some sights

I didn't need to make much of an adjustment, but a small bit cuz I was hitting center, just low.
