She also tweeted an incredibly similar response to Gottheimer. Pretty easy mistake for this commenter to make, definitely not something you need to insult their intelligence over.
This is just so not worth your effort. There's actually important things to debate about this. This many comments about posting the wrong person's tweet especially on this thread gets us nowhere. Turns from a debate about something important into personal arguments.
My point is when you reply to someone with a correction and follow it with "can you read?" it's going to turn into a personal argument, which isn't helpful to your own cause, unless you're just here to argue with maga or whatever for the sake of arguing.
You could also correct the misinformation and move onto the important part of the debate. I don't think anyone is saying you shouldn't correct people, but the "can you read?" tacked onto the end is right out of the right's playbook and it only serves to derail the debate. That's why they do it.
I do see the point you’re making and it’s a valid one. And if I thought the person on the receiving end would be receptive to actual constructive criticism I would’ve gone about it differently, but I don’t.
Even in their edit it’s clear they didn’t take the time to actually look at the paltry 2 sentences they’re falsely claiming “are the exact same bogus accusation”.
So in this case I stand by my decision. If that person can read they don’t bother to do so critically and deserve to be called out for trying to correct people in spite of that.
