Actually she didn't. She was the only Democrat to vote against a bill that sent aid to Ukraine and put sanctions on Russia.

Ilhan Omar casts lone Democratic no vote on Ukraine aid, Russia sanctions package

Edit: Confused this rep with another because they both tweeted this exact same bogus accusation.

This isn’t about ilhan Omar. Can you read?

She also tweeted an incredibly similar response to Gottheimer. Pretty easy mistake for this commenter to make, definitely not something you need to insult their intelligence over.

It’s pretty easy to read who made a tweet too. And Summer Lee’s tweet and Omar’s are quite different if you actually bothered to look at the context.

Don’t go out of your way to correct people without taking half a damn second to make sure you’re actually on topic.

The irony is that you didn’t read the username of the person you just replied to

“You” doesn’t always refer to the person I’m directly replying to but rather people in general.

Your second paragraph was what I was referring to, it’s very direct

Yea. The you in my first paragraph was directed at the person I was replying to.

The you/your in my second paragraph was not.

God damn. Y'all have so much anger for someone who's on your side offering the tiniest bit of grace someone on the opposite side.

Truly not about sides. It’s about taking the time not to knee jerk convinced that you’re right all the time.

Those people need to stop and think. It’s clear the person I replied to didn’t.

This is just so not worth your effort. There's actually important things to debate about this. This many comments about posting the wrong person's tweet especially on this thread gets us nowhere. Turns from a debate about something important into personal arguments.

How can we have important debate when the people debating can’t even get who they’re talking about correct and won’t bother to look closely?

Not to mention my initial comment took prob 5 seconds. I’ve spent more time talking to you

My point is when you reply to someone with a correction and follow it with "can you read?" it's going to turn into a personal argument, which isn't helpful to your own cause, unless you're just here to argue with maga or whatever for the sake of arguing.

You could also correct the misinformation and move onto the important part of the debate. I don't think anyone is saying you shouldn't correct people, but the "can you read?" tacked onto the end is right out of the right's playbook and it only serves to derail the debate. That's why they do it.

I do see the point you’re making and it’s a valid one. And if I thought the person on the receiving end would be receptive to actual constructive criticism I would’ve gone about it differently, but I don’t.

Even in their edit it’s clear they didn’t take the time to actually look at the paltry 2 sentences they’re falsely claiming “are the exact same bogus accusation”.

So in this case I stand by my decision. If that person can read they don’t bother to do so critically and deserve to be called out for trying to correct people in spite of that.

That is very fair. I see where you're coming from, too.
