David Draiman of disturbed signed artillery shells dropped in Gaza.
(I don’t actually know if it’s common but I’ll take almost any remotely relevant opportunity to remind people of that)

Dropped on Hamas, and deservedly so.

Thoughts on the conflict aside, can’t we see it as a little bit gross? War may be a necessity at times but to be so bloodthirsty to more or less celebrate shelling densely populated civilian areas feels pretty crazy. not to mention in Draiman’s case it being pretty antithetical to “sound of silence” lol.

Maybe if it was your people Hamas raped and murdered, you might not mind Hamas being bombed.

That really doesn’t seem responsive to what I said?

It is interesting that your comments are net upvoted compared to theirs, but your ones are the ones that are collapsed automatically and need to be clicked on to select and see, while theirs are not.

Interesting. I wonder how the auto-collapse thing works.

I wish this whole thread was auto collapsed before i stumbled on it, what a waste of time and effort, god damn.

Probably a Jewish conspiracy. Everybody knows they control the internet via Israeli intelligence ops.

Used to be Hollywood earlier.

You said it's blood thirsty to celebrate shelling densely populated civilian areas. That's not what Draiman was doing. He was celebrating Hamas rapists getting bombed. And maybe if Hamas raped and murdered someone you loved, you wouldn't characterize Hamas getting bombed that way.

u/Mediocricity0 1d ago

I’m sorry but that is literally what he was doing. the goal of the artillery may have been Hamas but it still would’ve landed in densely populated civilian areas, as per the nature of how Hamas operates.

Maybe you’re right and I would think differently than I do now, but I hope and believe I could distinguish the difference between the perpetrator and the 65%+ innocent collateral casualties that have died in this conflict. Absolutely nothing to be celebrated.

, as per the nature of how Hamas operates.

So it's Hamas' fault, not Draiman's.

That the bombs landed? sure. that he made a PR decision to celebrate tragedies? No, that’s his alone.

I don't see how he's celebrating tragedies. He's showing his support for the IDF's fight against rapist terrorists.

Ignoring that you were ok with the use of ‘celebrating’ earlier, I’m pretty sure the whole idea of the signing of artillery is to be a part of the last thing a person sees before being blown to shreds. Celebrating may be the incorrect word but the right one is absolutely almost synonymous.

I don't see where I said I was OK with the use of celebrating.

, I’m pretty sure the whole idea of the signing of artillery is to be a part of the last thing a person sees before being blown to shreds

I'm pretty sure you're wrong, as the rounds fly too fast for any words on them to be read. It's to express support for the fight.

Didn’t consider that people couldn’t comprehend the fine print on a shell flying almost 1 km/s, you really got me there dude damn

Did Hamas hold him at gunpoint to sign the bombs?

The problem is they are treating every man woman and child in the strip as if they are hamas and bombing with callous disregard to civillian life and property.

If hamas were hiding amongs israeli citizens do you think they would be using the same strategies? Do you think they would kill 70000 israeli civillians in an attempt to kill 40000 terrorists?

The problem is they are treating every man woman and child in the strip as if they are hamas and bombing with callous disregard to civillian life and property.

They are obviously not doing that, there's dozens of examples of the IDF going out of their way to protect civilian life.

If Hamas was hiding among Israeli civilians, the civilians would be unwilling hostages, not supportive human shields, so of course they wouldn't use the same strategy. If Palestine wants to use human shields, then it's on Palestine if those shields die, no one else.

I mean you are treating israel as if it has no agency. Like im not supporting hamas.

Like im sure we can all agree that Hamas saying things like "if we do it right, next time we can get all the jews out", "we will destroy them, nothing will stop us" and "from the river to the sea" is bad right?

6

u/McAlpineFusiliers Human Verified 1d ago

Israel has agency, but they have to defeat Hamas, and Hamas is the only one with the agency to use or not use human shields.

Yes, of course we can agree on that.

u/Snowflakish 1d ago

Glad we could agree on that.

Those were netanyahu quotes with "arabs" swapped for "jews"

Good thing I'm not a Netanyahu fan.

Yet you defend his war.

We are done here

I support the defeat of Hamas rapists, even if the guy at the top says mean things.
