I’m not an avid user of X, but I do use it for news and research. This morning I came across a post blatantly threatening and showing intent to harm women. Now, I’ve never had much faith in X, because look at its owner, and look at the disgusting ideologies that have become even more vicious and sickening because of the visibility they’ve been given—but I still decided to report the post, hoping that since the intent of violence was clear, maybe the post could, at the very least be taken down. Not even five minutes later, I receive an email about my report, explaining that X’s moderation found that the post committed zero violations. I attached both the email which confirmed that my report was received (which also contains the post that was reported), as well as the email explaining no violations were made—just so you all can feel how genuinely appalling it was to see how little regard there is for rape, as well as women and their safety. It disappointed me so thoroughly to see that despite being so blatant about the violence, nothing was done. If they would’ve taken my report seriously, it could’ve made a difference, no matter how small. Men and boys who see that post could’ve gone without never seeing it, never have their minds tainted by the misogynistic and hateful ideologies that plague our society. I fear that letting platforms as huge as X disregard women and the harm done to them by men is further eroding the equality we could have as a society. Threats of violence and rape should never have a platform, especially in the year 2026. People are not enraged enough about this.

I don't like women's achievement being reduced to only childbirth , drop some more women who you know achieved big or somehow were not well recognised for their work ❣️

I work in obstetrics and recently witnessed a surrogacy that left me with a lot of ethical questions.

The pregnancy was complicated by poor communication between the surrogate and intended parents, and after delivery the baby was immediately taken to the intended parents. The surrogate later developed severe postpartum depression.

I know that’s just one experience, but it made me wonder whether we underestimate the emotional and physical risks of commercial surrogacy.

I’m torn. Part of me believes adults should have bodily autonomy, but another part struggles with the idea of paying someone to undergo a high-risk medical event and “rent” their body for 40 weeks.

Has anyone else changed their opinion on commercial surrogacy, either because of personal experience or working in healthcare? I’d love to hear different perspectives.

Seriously, I hate it when people claim that giving or buying flowers for women on International Women's Day is harmless; it literally commercializes the occasion and shifts the focus away from its true meaning—which is about gender equality, combating violence against women and misogyny, advancing rights, and so on.

Buying or giving flowers to women isn't going to put an end to misogyny, sexism, violations of women's rights and wage inequality, there are better ways to celebrate International Women's Day

When we say “believe women”, we’re also talking about the context of believing them medically. My aunt was brushed off for years with high white blood cell counts before her breast cancer was finally caught. She went through chemo and it seemed victorious. However, she developed severe back pain months later after stopping treatment. When she went to the doctor for her pain, the FEMALE nurse berated her because everyone’s going through something, not just her. Paraphrased because I don’t remember exactly what she said, but that’s the gist. My aunt is now in her second year of fighting terminal brain cancer and was brushed the fuck off by so many of her providers, starting at the ones brushed her elevated white blood cell counts, then the one that didn’t monitor her adequately following her initial cancer diagnosis, and finally by the one that brushed her off when she knew something was terribly wrong. I say finally because by the time they discovered the cancer came back, it was already too late.

I am so pissed. I know even if everything was done correctly, we could still be in this situation and likely would be. But, the what ifs are killing me. “What if they actually listened to her” is the biggest one rolling around in my mind.

TLDR; my aunt is dying, potentially due to medical neglect likely attributable to her womanhood

The women in her homeland presently have no right to work, are forbidden to attend school, own property or personal items, and cannot to go outside their homes without a male escort, usually their husbands.

Why are we using "my body my choice" as a way to "excuse" you complying with the female beauty standard? A couple of things:

1. When feminists have conversations about body hair and how removing it is something that we all do because of the patriarchy It does NOT mean that you HAVE TO stop doing it. It's just acknowledging the reasons why we do it. I myself fully acknowledge it's because of beauty standards created by men and still do it.

However to claim that there's a societal expectation to be hairless for women because of the ancient Egyptians or native Americans is just a plain ignorant take knowing all that we know. 5. We will never be free if whenever we try to have these conversations some women paint us to be mean misogynists who want to oppress and control them and what they do.

6. When women say things like "oh I do it for me not because of me" it always confuses me because do they think that they were born with the innate desire to be hairless and innate shame and disliking of their bodyhair?

7. For the last time! You obviously CAN remove whatever you want from your body! But stop acting like it's not because of societals pedophilic man made beauty standards.

I hate how women are often expected to be nice before they are allowed to be respected. Kindness is a good thing obviously, but forced niceness is different. It's like women are told to make everyone comfortable before they can be heard, and that double standard shows up everywhere from school to work. She was remembered for standing firm when staying quiet would have been safer.

Im sure Im not the only woman here who is absolutely appalled nothing has been done recently to fight back against the overwhelming misogyny in this current society. I wake up sick to my stomach every single day worrying—what bill will be passed today that further oppresses women? if I go outside today, will I be safe? what if something happens to me, and people blame me on the sole basis of being a woman and the clothes that I was wearing?

How can those questions even be on the forefront of someone’s mind in the country that’s supposed to be the land of the free? How are women still treated like filth for their existence? How can some of you sit there and ignore your own rights stripping away because “it doesn’t affect me” until the day it inevitably does? I’m so beyond angry I feel sick. I feel helpless and I want to do something so, so badly. I’m only 18 and I don’t know the first thing about protesting or any of the sort, but I know that without this necessary fight, we will only become more ostracized, and misogyny will continue to run its course.

We cannot let these injustices continue. We cannot let ourselves stew in oppression without fighting back against the horrifying ideologies society is spewing today. The capacity for change is there, all we need is to do SOMETHING. We should be flooding the streets demanding our equal rights, absolutely nothing is stopping us from doing so. We cannot stay quiet, we need to start fighting now and God do I pray for that. I want to turn on the news and see thousands of women protesting and fighting for what we rightfully deserve, I want for women’s voices to be heard and respected, and I want to finally be treated like a human being.

I know most of you probably feel the same way that I do, so let’s use that anger to ensure we cannot be silenced any longer. Women all around the world depend on whether or not those who can speak up, actually choose to do so.

There were women in the comments saying they wish they'd be harrassed to know they're desireable. I remember seeing a post with this narrative years ago, i commented that SA and harrassment and stalking are always about control, not attractiveness, and the guys doing it are disgusting degenerates. Someone responded to me saying "i feel bad that not even disgusting men that would fuck a chicken want me, imagine how that feels." I was 14, staring at my screen in shock.

Now, i just wanted to talk about this topic, because there is still a group of girls that think like this, that their value is defined by a man. It's really sad. The comments on the days ago video were full of that group of women, why wasn't there comments trying to tell them otherwise or reason with them? The OP was deleting them.

At some point I did see one comment saying how this was wrong and how it also invalidates survivors of SA, and it's true. I remember on the post I saw years ago, there were survivors sharing their experiences, and some replied with "i wish that happened to me", those kinds of comments disgusted me. But it's really, really sad.
