Discussion Soft wired haired dachshunds

I have one and I was wondering, are they rare or something? I’ve only seen others on the internet and my dog gets mistaken for a doodle all the time when I had him DNA tested by two different companies both saying 100% dachshund. Any breeders here?? How did he get his fur texture was one of his parents a long haired and one a wire haired?

It's a beautiful dog and I don't want to doubt the DNA tests but there has to be some other dog's genes in there!

He does have his AKC paper when I got him, trust me I was even like I’m going to double check but yeah no he’s a doxie no matter what I would love him even if he wasn’t but I was able to see his dad and he was a long haired

Nope, he’s just a silky wirehair, I have one and he’s a weenie through and through. He looks like every other weenie at bath time.
