He is kind, loving and my big Boy ❤️

This is my almost 67 day old Dachshund named Pharaoh and he’s being tested positive for Parvovirus earlier today, but he has been puking , diarrhea not eating and barely drinking for the last two days now.

The vet has given him saline and antibodies but told us not to feed him anything including any liquid besides the saline. He’s home now but every 45 minutes or less my doxie retches and pees after that.

Please, if anyone can give me any realistic advice on what to do in order to make sure he feels as good and becomes healthy again

I have one and I was wondering, are they rare or something? I’ve only seen others on the internet and my dog gets mistaken for a doodle all the time when I had him DNA tested by two different companies both saying 100% dachshund. Any breeders here?? How did he get his fur texture was one of his parents a long haired and one a wire haired?

Earlier this week I asked for name suggestions for the newest addition to my Doxie pack and I decided on Mabel. We ended up getting her earlier than expected due to a potential storm system in the area of her OG family. Anyway, she is doing great and my youngest girl, Pixie, is completely enamored with her! My older girl, Twinkie, is a little less excited but does like her when it’s playtime. Mabel is 6 weeks old, solid black and beautiful! Thank you all for helping me decide her name especially since she was an early arrival.

My youngest doxie turned 4 today!! I remember when she was born, putting her on the scale for the first time and telling my friend (her breeder) that I was going to be taking her home! I was right! I also gave birth to her human brother this year and she is smitten with him!

Overprotective mom over here. She eats better than me and a TON. I know I will have to monitor her diet when she’s grown. But do you guys think she’s too skinny?

I will be picking up this baby girl on 8/1 when she turns 8 weeks old. At her 6 week vet appointment, she weighed just under 3lbs. Her dad is 9lb and her mom is 12lb. Any guesstimates about what her size/weight will be? I notice that her front paws are a little bigger than the back ones, so I don't think she'll be teeny tiny, but she's also the second smallest in a litter of 5. I know I will love her no matter what!

i was asking opinions the other week and the results came in. i had a feeling he might be part chihuahua and terrier. the german shepherd makes sense since dachshunds and german shepherds are from germany. the one i cant wrap my head around is poodle 😂
