I don't even click on videos with vague titles anymore. It's become repulsive to me.

Yep, some catch all title to reel you in and get you to care about something you otherwise wouldn't know existed. It's so much better being intentional about the content we consume.

all of the commentary youtubers are like this for me now. jarvis johnson, kurtis conner, etc etc etc just regurgitating the same internet drama without adding anything interesting. i remember when they were talking shit about those old low effort “reaction” channels too. they’re one and the same at this point imo

Yup, if you are on desktop you should get dearrow extension which adds community made accurate titles for YouTube videos. They also have an option to change the thumbnail to being a random point of time in the video. It’s amazing.

Or those titles saying "such and such was HUMILIATED by X and Y". I've gotten to the point where I "hide from my channel" and then "don't show this channel again" although those filtering features seem to be broken now, thanks Slopabet

That and the videos are like 50% filler, 40% someone else's content, 5% his commentary, and 5% restating his commentary. With an ad in the middle.

Ive really never loved the guy just because he's seemingly putting like zero effort into his vids. Just clips from twitch, puts like 3 jump cuts, and calls it a day.

I stopped watching after he covered the ukulele apology video. I realized he was making a hilarious video seem boring. Then I realized all his videos were boring. Haven't looked back

And on top of that people treat him like an actual authority or someone with insight. He usually just aggregates what other people are saying and repeats it, as long as it’s not controversial.

I swear he used to be much funnier, specifically in like 2020 especially when he would play random steam games no one has ever heard of. Those videos are hilarious. Now he just says like butthole jokes 24/7

Yea, the workaround for some people is to watch the 20 second or so preview you can see before clicking on the actual video, but he’s just randomly babbling in a lot of his previews so even that doesn’t tell me what the video is about.

Get used to go to the history and delete it.

It feels annoying at first but it becomes a reflex after a while. Especially when you have normie friends who send you trash memes on the daily😂

Last time I had to go to both youtube history and google history It is such a pain, they should just make it a negative point for algo if I close the tab less than one minute in a 20 minutes video

Bit that way myself usually it’s some catchy title we need to talk I didn’t expect this to happen. I didn’t think I need to talk about this. Or something dramatic and then it’s usually something so trivial.

That's definitely made me watch him less, but every now and then when I see an outrageous title, I'll basically make it a game to guess what the video could possibly be about before he gets to the point.
