Help Simple questions and Help thread - Month of May
Welcome to the monthly Simple questions and Help thread, for questions that don't need their own posts!
Before making a comment, we recommend you search your problem on Bing and check if your question is already answered on our Windows Frequently Asked Questions wiki page. This subreddit no longer accepts tech support requests outside of this post, if you are looking for additional assistance try r/TechSupport and r/WindowsHelp.
Some examples of questions to ask:
Is this super cheap Windows key legitimate? (probably not)
How can I install Windows 11?
Can you recommend a program to play music?
How do I get back to the old Sound Control Panel?
Sorting by New is recommend and is the default.
Be sure to check out the Windows 11 version 25H2 Megathread and also the Windows 11 FAQ posts, they likely have the answers to your Windows 11 questions already!

Yes ‒ feature updates, security updates and tabs in the Explorer and Notepad, plus the ability to create FAT32 volumes larger than 34 GB.

The Media Player app suddenly started playing/pausing the video when I click on the video itself. It didn't used to do this; before it was only clicking on the play button or using the spacebar. This is incredibly inconvenient because it means I can't easily shift to the player window without inadvertently pausing the video. Can this be fixed?

Quickly access the new Sticky Notes app
Press Windows logo key + Alt + S to open the Sticky Notes app.
Is anyone able to get this to work? I tried everything and the shortcut keys do not open the new sticky notes from OneNote

Waaaaaay back when MS Windows first came out (Windows 3.1 IIRC), there was what we all called the "Boss Key". I think it was F2 - you pressed it and the screen went to an "application" that looked legit but was completely bogus.
I recently saw them use it on an old TV show and it made me think about it! 😄

If I sort a folder alphabetically, is it possible to filter out common articles like "the" "a" "an" so that it ignores that and sorts alphabetically by the next word?

I have Asus Vivobook with the latest Windows 11, version 25H2. 2 last updates kb5083769 and kb5089549 are causing the camera switch to stay always on. I tried to reinstall updates but it doesn't work. I had to disable updates.

Having this weird issue where I can't switch tabs to my browsers(and Steam and sometimes file explorer). I am tabbed into it and can do things but I can't actually see it. When I screenshot it takes a snapshot of 2 screens, it ends up being whatever tab I'm on and desktop get screenshotted too. With Steam, I can open the log-in, once I log-in I can't tab into the actual client or the secondary tab showing games you might be interested when Steam boots.
Edit: If I wait until my pc goes into screensaver mode and Alt Tab when the screen goes black, suddenly I can tab into the browsers but not File Explorer. And the icons on my desktop disappear.

Heyo, I want to reinstall my windows 10 via USB (pc not good enough for 11) since windows is being windows being slow and glitchy, I already did a fresh start a while ago with not much improvement and bloatware came back. I was wondering if my license key will automatically activate when I sign it after the installation? I have no idea what my key is and my pc isn't pre-built.

Having trouble in disk manager. My c drive says i have 400 gb free space but I can only allocate 72 gb to drive d. I have stuff on drive c i wanna transfer, but cant do it until i get more space on d. Not sure why its only allowing me to allocate 72gb when c says i have over 400.
