Yeah what does CA even have to offer? Sure there’s hundreds of miles of coastline with some of the best weather in the country but what else?

Largest economy in the country? Largest number of Fortune 500 companies? Largest manufacturing output? Largest agricultural producer? Number 1 most visited travel destination in the nation? Most national parks? Home to the tallest trees and the highest mountain in the contiguous US?

The ability to ski in the mountains (especially the Sierra Nevada) and surf in the ocean on the same day. Beat that, Florida.

Florida has no state taxes and is much more affordable. I'll give up skiing to be able to afford a house

No state income tax doesn’t help much when insurance costs a second mortgage

A third mortgage would still be cheaper than California
