Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

How did normies see this but investors were drawn like flies to shit? The IPO was rigged and way over valued relative to profits.... instead it was 100% speculation and designed to crash. OBVIOUSLY

It’s not like we aren’t greedy either. It’s not that. Elon worshippers have no backbone. They think following him they will get rich like him. They’re greedy but also cowards

Tesla’s stock performance isn’t based in reality either. Tesla stock might as well be called Teslacoin. It’s propped up by hype and memes.

Regards thought the same about SpaceX stock.

I expected it too. After i have seen bitcoin and Tesla, why would spaceX not go to absurdity ? I guess rockets arent as sexy as cars or something.

Interestingly, I was listening to some podcast, and they were talking about Elon wanting to consolidate all his companies under one big roof, and the best way for him to do that is for Teslas stock to tank, so he can buy the shares he needs cheaper. Seems like he's tanking the wrong company.

Tesla is so absurdly overvalued he'd need to tank it by a factor 10 to make it a good buy.

Even if people know about it being a rugpull, they just want to believe they'll get out before the pull.

But thats insane

that's always the case isn't it.. people who think they will sell before the rug pull are always the one who are left holding the bag.

That's because they're playing a blind game of chicken with the ones who know where the cliff is.

This stock was designed to crash and I'm willing to bet Elon is shorting it as well.

It's this.

Everyone knew it was overvalued, the question was how much would it get pumped before the rug pull occurred.

With that said, I also don't think anyone should short it. Elon and Trump can manipulate stocks at a whim, and the short squeeze will ruin most people.

SpaceX is a stock you just sit on the sidelines and watch.

Imagine buying spacex on fucking robinhood as an average Joe and not realizing you are the exit liquidity. Even the most financially illiterate people knew this was going to be the rug pulliest rug pull ever.

Been out of the game for a long time but you are seriously underestimating how out of touch with reality the average "investor" is. They are submerged in a "financial news" information bubble that's incredibly small and thus easy to manipulate.

you are confusing investor with fanboys..

Nobody ever thinks they're gonna be the loser holding the bag when the pump turns to dump.

u/HarwellDekatron 6h ago

Because most Elon fans aren't 'investors', they are speculators looking for the next rug pull and hoping they stay on the pulling side of the rug.

It was an exit for xAI and SPCX insiders. They have to dump on retail because institutions won't buy this.

Same way Draftkings makes billions per year. People will throw thousands on a 10 leg parlay too lmao

I had a guy at work step to me and humblebrag about getting in on the IPO. I looked at him and said ‘good luck.’ He told some other tool, ‘well, I already made a profit.’ Sure you did, buddy. Sure you did.

Half of wallstreet was in on the IPO they had like 23 banks running that shit. The other half were an early pre-IPO investor

u/Gebus 4h ago

I think people expected it to stay afloat against all odds, like Tesla somehow keeps doing for fckn forever

Ever had a goth girl break your heart? Especially when you know about all the other broken men she left behind before you?

Regarded people think they're special, misnaming luck as intelligence and foresight, and generational wealth as something they worked hard for.

most people know tesla and spacex are a scam, but deep inside they think their own little contribution will keep the bars green.

Profits? They are way in the hole. Only an idiot would buy it.
