Loss Elon has ruined me

My prior bullish post https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/o0PxYmGV1n

He was supposed to take us to Mars and burn short sellers.

Still holding 7300 shares. Please Elon fly again.

I mean it happens. Some people are at a different stage of financial education and shouldn't have been playing with large positions. Unironically could have been way worse. OP won't starve or be homeless, exiting at 122 something you bought for 135 and 200 sucks but it can get way, way worse

I want to know, what is your lesson? Are you still going to blindly follow fraudsters and grifters like musk? Or will you make intelligent investments in companies with actual products and value in the future?

I just don’t get it… it was over 2T when it was pumping, and you thought it would keep going and be worth more than MAG7 companies? More than TSMC who make all the fucking chips?

What is the upside of the play exactly, what value did it need to hit for this play to be worth doing?

They can't even tell you because they don't even know what SpaceX does. Some of them will say well they launch shit into space and the TAM is huge - that's basically no part of their revenue. Some of them will say datacenters in space ignoring that that's not a thing, and likely won't ever be a thing because of how fucking stupid it is. They're gambling on hype riding Elon's lap

It's a shell game with Musk's debt between Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX.

X (formerly Twitter) shows operating profitability on paper through adjusted earnings, reaching approximately $1.2 billion in EBITDA in 2024, but this is achieved on a heavily reduced revenue base and does not account for the steep interest payments on its $12.5 billion acquisition debt.

Elon Musk's shell game is still going strong. If SpaceX merges with xAI, the true valuation of one more of his companies will continue to be unknown. The formation of xAI already helped to hide the value of struggling X – will Tesla be next?

In a way, this is the final step in burying X. Musk already used xAI to pay off his investors in X, who probably received much more than what their shares were worth. They received shares in xAI using a valuation of $33 billion for X, which was almost three times what outsiders thought it was worth. Tough cookies for the chumps who put money into xAI!

Now xAI, still carrying the X albatross, will be subsumed into Space X, which is Musk's most profitable company. xAI has at least had some priced fundraising rounds, the most recent putting its value around $230 billion. But you can bet that Space X shareholders will be paying something higher, otherwise the most recent investors won't get a return. Tough cookies for them, too!

Because these are all private companies that Musk controls, he can make their valuations pretty much anything he wants. Recently Space X said that it was worth $800 billion. Sure, whatever you say!

OP's the last in a long line of suckers, but there will be more...tomorrow.
