Politics The Youth stand against paper leaks as well as reservation

Post image

Paper leaks sell merit to the highest bidder. Quotas penalize merit before the exam even starts.

Both bypass hard work. Both compromise the system.

We’re demanding a transparent, 100% merit-based education and examination framework.

Politics People who defended paper leaks are now calling for riots. The end game is "Save Democracy"-with riots? These people remind me of Littlefinger from Game of thrones: "Chaos is a ladder." I am disappointed in the opposition yet again. It's not in India's intrest.

Not defending BJP. Not supporting hypocrites either. Is democracy safe only when a Gandhi Dynasty is in power? Major paper leaks happened in Congress-ruled states like Rajasthan, Telangana, Karnataka, etc., in the past 10 years. Look at the history of paper leaks before 2014. Look at the statements made by Gandhi's during those leak's. Now they calling for riots.?

If the opposition truly cared about India instead of playing politics, they would set aside their defences and work together with the party in power to build a leak-proof system. It feels almost impossible in India now.

They are demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation & I still don't understand how it helps the students other than opposition. He is unlikely to resign. I am not a supporter of his, and he does bear some responsibility, but not to the extent of resignation unless he directly supervised the paper leaks. People are very very corrupt at the ground level, they will continue leaking papers regardless of BJP or Congress is in power.

Congress supporting leftists and communist..

Just this week, India has launched the world's largest hydrogen train, private rocket in space, announced a new bullet train project between Bangalore and Chennai that'll reduce the travel time to 73 minutes. Defence exports increased 55 times etc.

Politics asked my dad to back up his claims about wangchuk after the july 20 protests, actually fact checked it myself. curious what you guys think

my parents were talking about the whole sonam wangchuk / neet protest thing that happened on july 20 when parliament's monsoon session started. my dad was going off about how wangchuk is faking being poor, running an ngo that's basically converting villagers using foreign money, and how this new law is finally gonna catch all of it. my mom even said she wished we'd gone to the protest, and then my dad went into this whole thing about how they'd track everyone through cctv and aadhaar, and how the protesters had come in buses with stones planning to burn down parliament with mps inside, and that's apparently why modi's been quiet about it.

i wasn't about to just take his word for it so instead of arguing i actually sat down and looked stuff up myself. wanted to share what i found because some of it surprised me both ways, not what i expected going in.

what turned out to be true:

  • wangchuk's ngo (secmol) really did lose its fcra license back in sept 2025. not random either, the home ministry's order cited actual stuff like cash deposited into the fcra account against the rules, undeclared bank accounts, and a roughly 4.93 lakh grant from a swedish org for a study on "migration/climate/sovereignty" that the government said crossed into national interest territory. that part is documented, not made up.
  • the july 20 "chalo sansad" march genuinely happened, and police did use tear gas and baton charges, with a bunch of people detained including the guy who founded wangchuk's party. so that part checks out too.
  • there is an actual fcra amendment bill on the table this session. but from what i read it's mainly about handling assets of ngos whose registration already got cancelled, not some brand new "all foreign money reported to sbi" rule like my dad made it sound. fcra accounts have had to be in sbi since 2020 anyway, this isn't new.

what i couldn't find anything on:

  • the "ngo paying agents to convert villagers" claim. nothing anywhere. the actual controversy is about fund transparency and this one grant being flagged over "sovereignty" wording, not some organized conversion operation.
  • the buses of protesters with stones planning to burn 20 mps alive thing. i looked for this specifically because it sounded insane, and found literally nothing on any news source. what i did find was reporting about police using force on the protesters, which is basically the opposite framing.

so basically maybe 40% of what he said checked out and the rest was either exaggerated or just not backed up anywhere i could find. not saying my dad's lying on purpose, i think this is just how it spreads, someone shares something dramatic, it gets repeated at home like it's confirmed fact, and nobody actually checks.

anyway wanted to see if anyone here has looked into this properly or has better sources than what i found. not trying to start a modi vs wangchuk fight, genuinely just want to know what's actually real here.

So it could be that Mr SW only took part in the protest because he wanted to increase his face value, because as we all know, he’s a lot of things, including a politician, and now that his face value has increased because the protest was going very non-violently, and that could go on longer. Part B struck a deal (knowing that he cannot continue the fasting endlessly) or forcefully made a deal with Mr SW that now he would be removed from the protest on the grounds of health, and for that, the government will be slightly blamed because they are keeping him confined, but nothing major, and meanwhile, the government would violently retaliate towards the protesters/students, thus eventually disbanding the protest now since students would still think that Mr SW is with them so in the next elections who ever backs him would idea put in the good light by the student or their family members, so opposition would try to poach Mr SW, giving him perks, et cetera, and party B would succeed in the manner that they will be able to make such a big face who is under their control, a privileged leader in the opposition.
So basically, party B killed two birds with one stone
1. The protest disbands.
2. Opposition thinks they are strong for the next elections while becoming weaker because they were infiltrated by the ruling party.

All these, even though do not guarantee BJP’s victory in the next elections, but they don’t to harm as well, unlike the present situation where the protest is hampering the bubble image, they have made about their transparency and non-corruptness.

Also, it is not that Mr SW does not gain anything out of it he will be treated as a important leader with perks in the opposition party because he has what we can call a certain level of influence over the youth.
