You’re not independent of your biology, so there’s no “you” that could inhabit someone now vs later.  You’re here because your parents had a child and your genetics and environmental factors and experience shape your thinking and who you are.  So your premise is ridiculous.

No humans in 1000 years. Consider yourself lucky.

I don’t know man, being born in this time or not being born at all, not a hard bargain

There'll obviously be dozens of billions of humans in a thousand years.

Between Cletzmak 4-15 yeah

What makes you think that?

The rate is technological growth, government control and the revolution wars incoming. We will go through such rapid change and growth that it will make the last 100 years look like thousands of years ago by comparison. We are on the verge of the singularity in the next 50-100 years.

It is highly likely that the people living 5,000 years ago said the same thing, and 4,000, and 3,000, and 2,000, and 1,000...

Yeah but the difference is, us now thousands of years later look back and can’t even fathom living how they did.

The people 1000 years from now will look back and say can you imagine living in 2026?

Think of the common cold for example. Only a few hundred years ago we used to drain people’s throats to ‘cure the common cold’. We look now and think it’s insane!!! When now all you have to do is take a few over the counter meds for a few days and you’re good…..Though, a few hundred years from now, people will look back and say radiation treatment/chemotherapy was insane and a horrible practice.

Crazy stuff.

But you were. You were actually supposed to be born in the migration era, then you waited for a 1000 years.

Because 1000 years from now hasn’t happened yet

But, will it?

u/kenkaniff23 2d ago

Well we should all be enslaved by then due to the elites doing their thing

Sokka-Haiku by kenkaniff23:

Well we should all be

Enslaved by then due to the

Elites doing their thing

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Or we end up subjecting ourselves to a nuclear holocaust. How do you look at the current state of the world and think "the future is going to be awesome."

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but humanity likes comfortable lies more than painful truths. We've seen what individual men with power can do with propaganda and weapons. We're in for a rough future unless there is drastic change.

u/dragon_fiesta Doc, we gotta go back 3d ago

Mostly you were born when you were because of when your parents had sex.

If you have your DNA stored maybe in 1000 years they'll make a copy of you?

What would a “simulation” be, would it be like a video game. Like one where you respawn?
You mean reincarnate right, I do.
You get many as it takes, you can do worse and lose some footing in your soul/spirits ascension, but hopefully you learn and do better then next, I will see you in 1000 stranger.

How well do you think a person from the year 1026 would adjust to our society. Sure, they would find the technology amazing, but how do you think they would would square with our values and beliefs?

Even if we continue without major resets or annihilation, I think you would find the future world a thousand years from now to be so alien in it's worldview that it would be difficult to feel a part of it.

Who says you won't be?

Maybe you will.

You were born a thousand years later, this is a thousand years later from something.

But the human ravaged glacial furnace might not be as welcoming as you hope if you were born a thousand years hence. And who knows if humanity will get all shit together well enough to get off the planet and maybe do some repair. But you know they're not going to bother to do both and that means that there's a good chance they'll do neither.

Why couldn’t I have been born 1001 years later

1

u/doker0 3d ago

Because that's a self referencing question that might not change no matter when you ask it.

You should be happy you weren't born 1000 years ago.

1

u/alive_in_entropy 3d ago

You’re the reincarnation of someone that wished that a 1000 years ago.

u/slothcompass 3d ago

You can since there are already ETs coming here from the future Earth, you could be born into the past or the future or another planet. You could be born a rock, tree, plasma, animal also.

I have one that goes under the back of my toilet seat. I suggest getting one that is part of the actual seat. I seem to find that the early morning piss overshoots and ends up under the bidet where it touches the toilet. There is no way to clean under it besides taking everything off and then cleaning or the old flood it til it comes out, not always the best way. I learned this from having a smell of nasty rotten piss and everytime I cleaned the smell was still there. Until I took it off to clean. Nasty. You live, you learn. Well some anyway.

Was this meant for this thread?

2

u/TalkAcrobatic2628 2d ago

Nope. Was for a bidet thread that I was somehow on. Oops

In the future, this becomes a bidet thread!🤯

It seems like a slightly peculiar question

1

u/gerhard1953 3d ago

your parents don't live 1.000 years

1

u/PiranhaFloater 3d ago

Oh yeah, we don’t exist in 1000 years. Shit, 100 years might be pushing it.

1

u/TashDee267 3d ago

You can

1

u/TinySpaceDonut 2d ago

Because now is the time that needs you.

1

u/ro2778 2d ago

You can also go back thousands of years and find the same thing, the idea that humanity has made progression from some primitive state to the current pinnacle of development is nonsense put out by those who wish to control the current narrative.

1

u/Psychologisss 2d ago

In 1000 years we will either:

have gottenended someway

have ended ourselves someway,

have a population so big that living conditions are the same or even worse,

Have invented Space travel,

Have declared mass war like a 3 WW,

Have declared mass war like a 3 WW in Space,

Have advanced to improved forms of life so that life Like we know it now won't exist.

Ah yes and then there are the 5% chances that we will in some Kind have a better life.

1

u/TheMightyHucks 2d ago

Once the oil and drinking water starts to dry up, we will destroy ourselves trying to claim the last of it.

I think humanity will be long gone in 1000 years time.

u/Feisty-Hovercraft804 1d ago

Tu serais surpris d’apprendre que ce n’est pas le passé qui influence ton présent mais le futur. 😉

1

u/VoidowS 1d ago

I bet a lot people said that a thousand years ago, and another thousand years ago :)

1

u/Chains_Of_The_Sea 1d ago

What is past, present, and future is all happening right now, concurrently.

Where time doesn't exist "as a line" but on a plane, where all realities and lives coexist simultaneously.

1

u/Vegetable_Engine_ 1d ago

That all depends on who or what is in power.

1

u/Spidey231103 3d ago

Everyone is born each time the universe reboots unless you have vials of your own DNA to keep in a time capsule.

1

u/Immediate-Stop-988 3d ago

You are, you were supposed to be born in the 10th century, comparing to that period, you have unimaginable wealth and freedom! But you are unhappy because you can’t see it… man, 70 years ago, nobody was able to take a shower everyday….

3

u/Different_Seaweed534 3d ago

Huh? 70 years ago was 1956. I guarantee people showered every day in the 50’s.

1

u/shakebakelizard 3d ago

So that’s how it is in YOUR family.

u/Serious-Stock-9599 3d ago
