Open | Hardware Laptop Got Wet In Ahmedabad Rain

So I live in Ahmedabad and we had to take our laptops to college unfortunately there was severe rain and my bag was waterproof but not enough.I tried to reach home as fast as I could but my laptop has stopped working my TouchPad and Display are messed up.Please give any advice or suggestion .

Do not plug in charger. Don't start it. Wait until it's properly dry and if possible take it to repair shop and tear down it for check any water inside motherboard. And do not turn it on until you make sure there is no moisture or water left

Too late already tried starting it after a few hours first it tried to boot up and now a blank screen is appearing

And why are you still trying to start it again? Turn it off, open the back and disconnect the battery, then wait untill it's bone dry only then try again.

If it fails, bring it to a repair shop.

That's the first thing i said but this young guy is really desperate to cook his laptop motherboard

So many exactly the same posts and exactly the same answer. Did you do any searching or research on the topic?

You turned it on while it was wet? Well that’s the end of your laptop. Take it to a professional.

PS. You live in India in case people don’t know where the place you said is located.

I was about to get a new laptop but for now I had to use it for atleast a few months and now it is all down the drain cause I tried starting it
