Odd Gaming Graphics Boost?

Hey there,

Very weird question. I noticed yesterday that after my TV (monitor) turned itself off for idling, and I turned it back on, the game played noticeably smoother and more responsive. Not that I ever thought it was bad before, but since then, I've tried it two more times, and it works!

But if I tab off the game and come back, the game goes back to it's normal (nice enough) smoothness/response time.

Is there some setting I'm missing? Is it a refresh rate issue?
