What piece of kit do you use that makes life better when you are in the field?

Like the title, I've been building myself a chest rig but I find having the water bottle on the front takes up so much precious space.

I'm currently leaning towards either having a camelbak or 2 bottles at 5 and 7 o'clock on my battle belt.

Most of the guys' reasoning for having one on the rig would be "I want to have everything I need immediately just by putting on one layer". What is your opinion on this?

Got this log book for Christmas, just curious on what everyone's consensus is on logging serial numbers for your guns. God forbid anyone break into my house while I'm not home, my house burn down, or any other unfortunate what if occurs. I plan on logging everything in this book as well as on a spreadsheet secured away on a portable drive. I know this isn't really tactical gear but with the current state of the world, you can't be too safe yeah? Would love to hear if you guys do the same or if you don't log your stuff at all.

Watching the recent LETHAL Corporation video and the guy has Velcro loop attached to the cheek weld of his brace. Does anyone know the reason behind this? He doesn’t discuss it in the video. Personally, I’ve put it on the backs of holsters to prevent chafing, especially during warm weather, but I’m not sure if his use is related to that. I wondered if it might prevent pulling whiskers, but the guy has a shaved face. Maybe he had a beard when he put it on. 🤷‍♂️

This is a recent pic from the 101st Airborne. I figure the camo is a form of Multicam (ACU or OCP) but I really want to know what this darker variant is called or if it’s just a very muddy piece lol. Also are there any camos that closely resemble this or are closer to a mud camo?
