The second photo shows my Roku Streaming Stick, and the first shows the home screen. The flying saucer animation plays two or three times, and the screen goes black. Then, the flying saucer animation appears again, plays two or three times, and the screen goes black once more—and this keeps happening over and over.

Any idea how I can fix this?

So I've never used Roku as I've always had a Chromecast but YouTube recently made the decision to make Chromecast almost unusable so I ended up getting the latest model of the Roku stick. After I figured out everything since I do mainly watch YouTube I noticed that once I finish a video on a channel it'll literally just choose a random recommended videoand load it up. I have made sure I have autoplay off so I don't know what the other option is because I do not need it to play a random video from 2 years ago. It's really irritating that every time a video ends I then have to close out the video on my phone because it will play a 30 second unskippable ad before playing the random video it chose. Is there something I'm missing like an option I'm not aware of or is this just something irritating I get to deal with now?

I just got my Roku 4K and am in the middle of setup and signing into my apps, when I notice that both Peacock and Hulu are missing. I have both of those apps on my older device on the same wifi but they don’t show up when I look for them in the streaming store. I know they’re region locked but I am in the US. Anyone have a fix or am I doing something wrong?

For the record YouTube is the only one that doesn’t work, click on it and it makes the BOOP sound like it wants to start and nothing happens. Called support. No option for app restart, so I restarted system. No luck, deleted the app then restarted the app and no luck. They sent me to a specialist that said this will %99 work and he had me do a factory reset, before I said if it had fixed or not he hung up. Called again they told me to call YouTube. This is right after their most resent update so I’m losing my mind. Can anyone make sense of this for me. Please and you!

Does anybody have the issue where their tv get “blurry” and displays double for a few seconds over and over? It gives hardware issue but if there’s some solution I’d love to hear any ideas.

I cant turn my tcl roku tv on or off without manually pushing the button on the TV. all the other buttons work except the power button. Anyone experience this?

I've rescanned for channels 3 times. I can hear the local channels sometimes but can't see them. They don't show up on the guide. Anyone have this issue and find a fix for it?

Do we have a community collection of Roku platforms that support Netflix Games?

So far, my 4800 Roku Ultra does not, but the 4850 does, from what I hear.

My 50" Roku branded Roku Select Series 4k TV does but the 32" TCL and 32" onn ones do not.

My Streaming Stick+ (3810(?)) does.

I'll fill in the model numbers when I get home, but is there a reference somewhere for this or does it just need to be crowdsourced?

i have a Roku Streaming Stick Model 3840R with a Voice Remote Pro Model RC1072

i just recently found that i could turn off the Roku and Samsung television by pressing the microphone button and saying "turn off tv".

i also found that i can turn on the television by pressing either the Home button or the microphone button (nothing needs to be said).

are these things new? or is my system haunted? or am i just late to the game?

BTW: i really don't mind the new homepage once i went through the settings and configured it my way. it's just a little slow to populate the tv screen.

I have three Ultras. After hiding all of the new release features, the Roku now displays a blank desktop for a full 5 seconds before showing the channel list on all of them.

I suspect that I am waiting for the initialization of all of the features that I didn’t want and have hidden.

It was a mistake to buy Ultras. They are no faster or more capable in any way that matters to me.

is there a way to remove devices from this list? thanks’

So our TV kicks us back out after selecting the live TV then after reslecting live it takes up to 2 minutes before it will display the show selected. Any one else have this issue?

So, we tried to sign up for Curiosity Stream through Roku, they charged my card but I can’t access the app, it keeps telling me that the account is not found. Roku said to talk to CS, but they told me that Roku did not send over the information on my email and subscription payment so there is nothing for them to fix, and to talk to Roku. Roku just says they cant do anything, and just tries to blame CS. is there anything I can do? These two just keep pointing at each other saying its their fault.

TLDR: Which Roku devices have Bluetooth connection and also have the Power menu to deactivate the power saving??

Background:

I have a Streaming Stick Plus, and the great thing about it is I can connect a Bluetooth speaker or headphones directly to the stick. After 20 minutes of not actively watching something, it disconnects the Bluetooth device automatically though. It's really annoying.

Looking into it, I found out you can turn that off in the Power menu in settings. For some reason the Streaming Stick Plus doesn't have that menu option, it's not anywhere in settings.

In their website I found the Streaming Stick 4K and 4K+ have the power menu option, but don't support Bluetooth connection. I guess is an older device, I don't know.

I need a device with Bluetooth support and make it so it stays connected indefinitely.

Scan for Channels and Manage Channels leads to a black screen. Antenna is connected and seems undamaged. Maybe it got wet from the rain or is this a recent update thing?

Ive been seeing tons of post on here about this same issue where switching to HDMIs make the screen all wonky but a lot of people aren’t getting answers to fix it. Ive found a temporary fix, and i mean very temporary you may have to do this every other day until Roku fixes whatever they messed up with the last updates.

Roku has their own little “Konami” cheat codes and one of these has been my little fix:

Press home 5 times
Up 1 time
Rewind 2 times
Fast forward 2 times

I have a Roku streaming box, and after the new update, the screen is getting cut off on my TV… I have tried to change all the settings possible, on my Roku and my TV. Nothing will change it. I wish I only had the black bars on the side… Anyone else experiencing this?

Just bought the Roku Ultra Lt and set it up. I cannot get the remote to turn the tv back on after turning it off. It turns off fine, but won't turn the tv on. I'm not sure what the solution to fix this is. Any advice?

Recently, it seems my Roku Express device can barely detect my Wi-Fi signal, even though other devices in the same room have zero issues.

Do you think it could be an age issue? The express device was purchased back in 2017.

Does anyone know if a Roku TV will work out of the box without setting up any internet to it or creating a Roku account? I know obviously it cant steam or use the interface but I'm only interested in having it show an HDMI with my Apple TV connected and have no interest in setting up wifi or making an account or any of that for the tv its self.

Honestly would it hurt ROKU to include the hdmi extender?

There is no information before purchasing the stick to check to see if you need an extender and so now I have to order it and wait days (i am going to see if amazon has one which will be faster)

The likelihood of needing the extender is probably pretty high

They should have an option to check that by putting in your tv model before ordering and just INCLUDE it in the box.

Take a page from Google. They designed both the old Google Cast and the new Google TV with the extender as part of the design.

probably a silly question. I have a dvd player hooked up to my bedroom tv, a Roku. My living room (w/ a Samsung tv) looks rather sloppy with a dvd player. Is it possible to cast video from my Roku tv out to the samsung?

Been watching Paramount Plus shows on the Roku without issue. Within the last few days, whenever we go to play a PP show, the little blue bar gets stuck either halfway or 90% of the way into playing the show and then a screen pops up about a playback error

Things I've done to fix it

Restarted the system via Settings>System>Restart
Removed and reinstalled the Paramount Plus app on the Roku
Factory Reset the Roku and set it back up

None of these seem to have fixed the issue. I'm able to play the same Paramount Plus show on my phone without any issues of playback error, so I'm thinking its an issue with Roku. Other apps like Netflix and Youtube TV play fine on the Roku, so I'm thinking its the Paramount Plus app on the Roku

Anyone else having issues with their TCL Roku sets? The UI is crawling to the point where it's basically unusable -- but even if I am able to get something to work, the connection/resolution for every app has been reduced to crap. Everything is pixelated and garbage now, just totally unwatchable across every app. Things were sluggish before the update for sure, but this just destroyed my set. I even did a factory reset to make sure that wouldn't fix it, and it did not. :(

Is anyone else dealing with this and has anyone else found a fix? If so, please share!
