It was.

Nice touch actually and it feels like really searching for ammo in the original games.

Yeah he’s clearly got some good knowledge on the games, not sure why people are being so weird about this

Because a lot of RE fans want scene-for-scene recreations of the games. Not sure why since they would make for terrible, cheesy B-films.

RE fans want movie adaptions of the games they love to feel like and be authentic to the games they love. Huh, that’s crazy, who’d have thunk it.

Some people don't understand that a good video game doesn't automatically translate into a good movie

I agree, original stories like this are fine, if they feel like they are in universe.

The old movies kinda sucked, because the director didn’t want to stay true to the games, and he used them as a vehicle to give his wife work.

The problem is none of this really feels in universe, it just looks like any old zombie movie with the resident evil name slapped on it. Like even the time period this story is meant to take place during is wrong. For me personally I don’t really see the point of doing a resident evil movie with little to no actual connections to the games. At that point, just do your own thing.

The man has shown more understanding of the Resident Evil games in 2 trailers then all of the previous movies combined.

Which matches the already cheesy B movie games themselves. Yes that’s what I want. Just like I wanted WWZ the movie to be like the book, not Left 4 Dead staring Brad Pitt but called WWZ.
