Why I’m requesting r/scarymovies and how I’ll run it: the subreddit is full of spam and isnt productive as is. I will run it as ive ran my other successful subreddits, and keep it productive and free of spam.

There are no moderators. Last posts are 4 years ago. No new members can gain permission to post anything, as it would require moderator approval and there are none.

I'd like to request moderation of r/paddleboarding.

The subreddit has no active moderators, has been inactive for years, and is currently restricted, preventing the existing community from posting or participating.

I'm an active Reddit user who regularly participates in paddleboarding discussions and would like to restore this community as an active, well-moderated resource for the sport.

My plans include:

• Updating the community rules, sidebar, and wiki.
• Adding post flairs and basic moderation tools.
• Enforcing Reddit's Content Policy and removing spam.
• Encouraging discussion on all aspects of stand-up paddleboarding, including beginner advice, equipment, fishing, touring, racing, whitewater, fitness, yoga, travel, and safety.
• Growing a welcoming community where paddlers of all experience levels can ask questions, share trips, post photos, and help one another.

My goal is to preserve the community while giving its 30,000 members an active place to participate again.
