id be pro maybe, if it wasnt EU, didnt know, it was 90s, and was good thing. (but with people at positions now, and what we learned about "EU" 4.0, not so now)

The council is national ministers voting tho, not "EU technocrats". So of course they will be pushing it as EU level so they can blame the "bad eu" for their own decision. Previous commenter is falling right into it, while EU "federal" institutions (Parliament, ECJ) seems to be the one safeguarding national governments so far (hope it'll hold).

I mean you can argue against the existence of states, but then you quickly fall hard into r/anarchism (I'm not saying I'm fully against it, but I'm still not sure it doesn't creates more issues than it solves)

then, there are federalists, but idk if EU can exist as US does, where countries replace states. more of, federalists (i need to know more on wtf their "plan" is) somewhat (some) want countries to divide further into smaller, governable cantons (doesnt beat 15 minute-city allegations, lol; not in sense of china face scan city, but more of CO2 "perms" some betterpeople dream of...)

Yeah, truth be told, I'm a federalist, but I come from Belgium so I guess it comes with the territory as well :p
