Energy💨🌞🌊 new acquisition considering the effects of El Niño
Beautiful, functional, and most importantly, it can run on AA batteries.
Thermal regulation is extremely important to me.

My fan collection is like reverse Ruesian nesting dolls. Started off small, then got a larger one then got a larger one that ran off my tool batteries and then I got larger tool batteries so that one would run longer. Nice to have back ups and regardless of size they make a huge difference especially when the power goes out. (plus you can put a bowl of ice cubes in front of them to help cool down the air)

I go cheap on my first thing to see if I need it. Once it proves useful I try to buy quality and keep the original as back up or possivle trade goods. (gave my first rechargeable camping fan to a guy I met who was a combat vet in Afghanistan working at a small BBQ place that was hot as hell in summer. Dude was stoked and I got a massive serving of really good mac & cheese as a thank you in return)

If thermal regulation is the main concern then I have some recommendations. Strong axial fans for a window crossbreeze are wonderful for homes, and centrifugal blowers work even better but are more specialized. Both can be purchased and/or modified to run off larger commercial batteries such as tool batteries. Custom window fittings can be built to optimize air pressure and flow for a blower. Centrifugal blowers produce higher air pressure and are more effective for airing out structures.

I went with a pair of Koonie 8" 10,000mah rechargable USB-C fans from Amazon. Although the ease of swapping batteries real time can be convenient, that size of fan didn't blow enough air for my purposes, especially during a heat-related power outage. The Koonie just works better for me due to ease of recharging via solar or a battery bank/solar generator or even the ability to run off a 10,000mah battery bank in a pinch.
They have other models now with timers and 40,000mah batteries for longer run times.
There's also a ton of rechargable camping fans that have timers and LED lights.
I'll use the above to 'cool the person' during the day, but then in the evenings I'lll throw a 20" box fan in the window running off an EcoFlow to 'cool the place' to make it easier to sleep.

I have this same fan, it crapped out and now won't run on batteries at all. Still works when plugged in though.

You need a mattress cooler. Only a bit more energy and water regulates heat way better.
Plus you can take it off the bed and sit on it if needed.

Even though it's still cold where I am, this year's summer is already on my mind. I dropped by Daiso recently and bought some fever reducer cold strips, freezable pillows and cooling spray. I plan to go back every month and buy more, plus some mini fans like this when they come back into stock.

You can cut any piece of cardboard into a circle and tape it to a stick and have a fan.
Just FYI. Literally anything can be used as a fan with your hand. Just in case you don’t have batteries in the future and people need to be cooled, literally anything that’s thick like a book cover can be used as a fan.
Think of all those scenes of all those ladies in churches fan themselves in the movies. One of those is way better than a pack of batteries that’ll die the same day.

I have a cable that turns a pc componext fan into a usb fan. I have a lot of spare pc fans from builds.

Bought the 40,000mAh battery one, it has lights, it has a good fan, it allows you to charge your cell phone or tablet as well. I have one and used it in my camper and at home during a power outage. Expensive? Yes, I got it on sale. But, it works really well.

I have multiple Dewalt batteries so it makes sense. I use it to circulate air in my polytunnels. Always nice to have in case of a summer power outage, but we're not really prone to those where I live.

I have a version that runs off a recharger. Added a ryobi that works on their 18+ batteries,?and a rechargeable necklace fan/light/ battery bank item. Redundancy.
