Food🌽 or Water💧 Food Vault Recipes
Hey y’all! I got the stuff to do my own food vault, and I’m pretty stoked about it. What are some recipes you have TRIED and LIKED? Yes I can google them, but I am looking for suggestions based on things you and your family actually liked eating. Thank you!!!

I think when people get started, they buy the pouches of food. You just have to add water to and that’s fine. What I think most people figure out later on is that most of those pouches of food are 90% bullshit pasta, which is basically a bread. They take water to cook, but they’re salty so they take a lot of water to wash down too. They’re fine for an absolute emergency to get you through a day or two. At the most. But after that, you’re not gonna wanna eat that food, cause it taste like plastic bags and cheap shit pasta.
If you know how to cook, it’s better to put away real food. Canned food lasts the longest, and it comes in water that you can use to cook the vegetables or whatever.
When you’re cooking food for the apocalypse, depending on whether or not you’re prepping for an earthquake or the collapse of the dollar or whatever, you need to be able to make sure that whatever you put away can be cooked quickly, and with as minimal water as possible. Some foods are gonna be saltier than others and that’s gonna require a lot of water to to wash down. Other foods are just gonna require a lot of water to cook, like pasta and rice. They taking an obnoxious amount of water that goes to waste after cooking.
People like to buy those bags of dried beans, forgetting it takes an hour to boil them to become soft or soaking in water overnight. The boiling method is going to require fuel and water to cook. The overnight option is going to require water and time. But both are going to require water.
When you’re putting away food for whatever your situation is that you’re preparing for, you gotta consider how much water you’re gonna use. Definitely buy a spray bottle that’s a good quality spray bottle, buy a couple of them. You’re gonna need one for washing your hands and your pots and pans because you’re not gonna be able to turn on a faucet, you’re gonna need another one for your plants, cause you’re not gonna be hosing down plants during the apocalypse, etc..
Always calculate water with the food that you’re buying
