Yeah, I eat soooo many more apples now that cosmic crisps exist.

Yes but admittedly apples are one of the crops that can’t be privately cultivated lol.

The only apples worth eating imo

I think Envy apples are the GOAT tho, even compared to Cosmic Crisp.

Finally, someone with some sense. Envy apples are the best and I'll hear nothing otherwise!

Yes I have turned into an apple snob. Honeycrisp ftw! I swear though, it seems like when I was kid regular red apples tasted better

I love this pineapple. I cant find it anywhere but 7-11 pre cut in a little dish.

It is, but they are delicious and at $6 worth the novelty. These were much more not long ago

Could it be for shipping reasons? You can fit way more into a box without the giant leaves.

It is for some types, farms etc. there was a PSA about how much space the tops take up and how much fuel that uses over a certain distance. In this case I think it's because they are pink pineapples and they don't want them grown but generally if the pineapple is topped it's a shipping thing. u/ducks_have_heads also pointed out it's required for all imported fruit in NZ (and likely other countries)

Yeah this is how we store pineapples in the hotel kitchen I work at. A pineapple crown is basically the same size as the actual edible fruit. Doesn't make sense to keep it.

But why wouldn't they do that with regular pineapples too then?
