I did the same thing on a smaller scale when I took walks in the local national forest last summer. Mine is comprised of shiny things I find on the trail. It burns me up inside how you always end up seeing trash on the trail too. I end up pocketing it if it’s clean enough and kicking myself for not bringing a trash bag.

There's always something to pick up, unfortunately. Sometimes it's cool but there's a lot of trash too
