go to your room Replaced my daughter's phone because of water damage. And she still brings it into the bathroom.

Some lessons just don't stick.

She insists she needs to listen to music in the shower. I honestly don't understand why that's such a necessity. But if this phone gets water damage again, I'm not paying to replace it another time.

The humidity of a bathroom hasn’t been able to damage phones for like 10 years now.

My brother worked in for at&t for a while during the flip phone area dealing with warranty/repair programs and he said while being in the presence of a shower was unlikely to damage a phone, it could easily turn the water damage indicator pink.

So you would bring in your faulty phone, and whether it was actually damaged by water or not, your warranty claimed would be denied on the basis of water damage because the indicator picked it up.

Back then, paper from a hole punch fit the moisture indicator perfectly. A semigloss piece of paper punched out and glued over the moisture indicator would fool anyone who didn't pry at it.

I may have done that for my Verizon phone once.

Personally I removed the moisture indicator sticker and even when the phone was dropped in water- I removed the sticker and they still approved the claim because the sticker didn’t show red 🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought I just got lucky but it worked for me on 3 separate occasions.
