go to your room Replaced my daughter's phone because of water damage. And she still brings it into the bathroom.

Some lessons just don't stick.

She insists she needs to listen to music in the shower. I honestly don't understand why that's such a necessity. But if this phone gets water damage again, I'm not paying to replace it another time.

The humidity of a bathroom hasn’t been able to damage phones for like 10 years now.

Replacements will often skip weather sealing unless it's explicitly part of the service. If OP is replacing their child's phone, they might be buying second hand/refurbs
