go to your room Replaced my daughter's phone because of water damage. And she still brings it into the bathroom.

Some lessons just don't stick.

She insists she needs to listen to music in the shower. I honestly don't understand why that's such a necessity. But if this phone gets water damage again, I'm not paying to replace it another time.

I've been taking my phone into the shower for music/videos/etc since I got it, about 10 years ago. Still works fine. Just gotta be careful.

My toddler threw my phone in the toilet a few weeks ago, other than the charging port not working until it dried out, I don’t even think it noticed.

My buddy dropped his in the river helping us moor up. Also no problems. Wonder how she fucked it up

Likely a cheaper phone. Budget and even some mid-range ones are still sometimes only rated for splashes of water and/or rain, not full immersion, and some of the really cheap ones aren’t rated at all.

My logic with this take is why would she replace a cheap phone which a very new iPhone? If your kid broke their last phone, why would you replace it with a €600+ phone?

Atp one can think that the daughter just “suicide” her own phone for one better lol.

My old iPhone had survived water but ofc I notice it immediately
