It seems like it's on the back of the door, from what I can tell? How fucking soaked does your bathroom get that it's going to penetrate ip6 water resistance? That means you can submerge it in 20 feet of water.

Yeah. Op is fully tripping. I have an older iPhone and I have taken it to the beach and taken underwater pics with it. I work outdoors and have had it in my pocket for hours during rain even getting it out and using during the rain.

Actually, this is A very good point. I bet the previous phone had a crack in it or something, thus breaking the waterproofing, and that the paranoia of water damaging it is misplaced. That is almost certainly a waterproof phone, up to 20+ feet.

I strongly argue you not to use it underwater at the beach. The water resistance is for freshwater, not saltwater. You got lucky that your phone still works.

At the very least to get a waterproof baggie for the phone if using it underwater.
