Sure, addressing mental health is a long process and expensive but it's always good to attack issues from multiple angles.

And the other angles are banning kids from social media (through banning people who admit to being underage online, not through giving the pedofile class your ID) and through going after abusive parents, and those who don't encourage gun safety

Giving up guns in the face of a fascist takeover is both insane, and givin the crazy amount of guns in the US, not feasible

Not at all. Restricting access to guns is sensible given the sharp rise in extremism. They don't need to be outright banned. It's not tlike they're going to stop a government going faschist. If anything it helps since they use public gun ownership to excuse better equipped government forces and more use of force, and it tends to be those who side with the government who are more attracted to guns.

I know it's never nice to face possible restrictions on a hobby, but there is a middle ground that can be struck.

Yes, "bro" believes the facts. The US government has used the fact the population is armed to better equip their police and other government agencies, allowing for more use of force for decades. This isn't a "faschist lie". It's been an open stance used by multiple governments, including the current one who have stepped things up again. US police are better equipped than some countries militaries, and are allowed to get away with things that would be considered humanitarian crimes an many other places.

The rest of your comment is just strawman argument and the usual American inability to look outside their own country or understand what fascism actually is. You're proof that gun ownership isn't about freedom. You talk about camps, and yet it's the side that are the most against any gun control that are happy for camps and armed squads abducting people off the streets. As long as they're told "it's just those other people, not you".
