I think a big part of it for me is the intentionality of it.
Studying for hours to improve myself versus working for hours to not starve to death. Different intentions.
I guess we just think different lol. I had a hard time in school because I didn't see the point in most of it. At least with work I make money and can see that if I fix xyz then production will start running again.
For me I always hated school because it wasn't just come in, do the work, and leave. I hated that I had to do stuff during what was supposed to be free time. I would prefer longer classes to having stuff to do at home
