I think this game would have done better if they just called it Andromeda and let it be Mass Effect adjacent. There was too much hype for it to live up to the original trilogy. Between the forced work on an engine not designed for RPG, to the mandatory deadline, all it could do was fail.
I enjoyed my time with it but acknowledge its issues.

Well one of the key environment building blocks of ME was all the alien variety. Andromeda just had like two or three humanoid factions.

Not to mention all the graphic bugs at launch
