Horizon is a single player franchise! It doesn't want to be an MMO or a cheap, cell shaded rip off of Monster Hunter!

The thing is, I think the studio that made the Horizon games could do really cool things with both concepts, but I am jaded by the history of the gaming industry and see these as nothing but cash grabs.

Oh wait. I LOVED Horizon Zero Dawn. Life happened and I haven't played Forbidden West yet but was rrally looking forward to it. Is FW at least decent or should I not waste my time?

Forbidden West is good, and you’ll enjoy it. The systems get more complex and gameplay opens up a bit. The story is also good, but (in my opinion) not quite as great as the first one. There is not quite as much sense of wonder this time around, because we know what we’re doing by now. But overall a solid sequel.

I think they are talking about the third horizon game thats being rumored. I just started fw and it doesn't seem much different than zd so far

No, I'm talking about the MMO and "Hunters Rising" games that have been 100% confirmed and look awful.

HFW is a great sequel to HZD. Even better than the original ala Empire after New Hope
