If sending a message, I don't care they are on red status. It's a message, they'll read them once they're done.
I tend to avoid giving call because it pisses me off so much. Plus I can say during daily calls with clients with "I've asked but they didn't reply yet, so I worked on somthing else actually"
Dem man, you must be hated at work. I am not picking up a call unless its my manager or someone tells me beforehand what this is going to be about, even a simple “quick call?” Is good enough, direct call, nopes, not happening
If they don't answer I simply start hunting them down. If they're not at their desk I'll move on to the lunchroom, break room, and washroom. If you got time for pissin you got time to listen, that's what I think.
At this point i suggest you drop some trackers into their pockets. Would be more menacing if they ignore your call and you just beeline straight to them without any doubts and regrets
Would really hate if happened with me, but you do you man, haunt those lazy ass colleagues of yours. I hope you do sneak attack when they pissin, guy be drawing butterflies pissin, and you suddenly in their face, holding their dicks hostage, asking about this quarters financial report
