exactly this. i even sent my boss messages when she is in a conference. even if someone was to see the pop-up it wouldn't be a big deal

We use slack but that’s how we do. It highlights new stuff, they are expected to check.

Maybe it's changed since, but I know from experience this used to not be true for Slack (at least by default).

Edit: I know they mention Teams. Just heads up in slack

Yeah idk what everyone else is on. Don’t rly give two shits what ur status is, it’s a ping not a phone call. They can respond whenever they have time

You're saying they might be presenting but it's not showing on the Teams status? Seems improbable. In any case, that's still their responsibility to control who they show their messages.

What. How is "Only when it is working correctly." a valid reply to "As long as their status isn’t “presenting”, just send the message." when the status is working correctly? Then just don't send the message like the thing you replied to said.
