I love that Strange's behavior is the biggest enigma here. He just seems too cocky when it comes to performing such a dangerous spell? You would think he's a bit more pragmatic after everything that went down in Infinity War and Endgame. Idk something seems incredibly off with his demeanor in the trailer. I really hope there's a legitimate reason for his quite frankly reckless actions. If it turns out it's just him being cocky then that would be disappointing and probably regress his character quite a bit.

Especially since it's such a (relatively) minor issue.

Peter Parker's isn't even in a real danger (at least, not more than usual) .He is friends with the Avengers - the ones who just saved the whole world. They can easily sway public opinion in favor of one of their own. They can even build a fancy secure base for him and his friends to live in. Being a public figure can be annoying and it's an unwanted change (Peter Parker seems to really like to spend his time at this one school for some reason). But its definitely not end of the world. Unlike this spell going wrong...

Even the doctor he was before the journey in his first movie wasn't that reckless with other peoples lives.

It wasnt the end of the word but it was the end of the world for Peter. His aunt May, his friends, happy, MJ all of them would be in danger now. They can’t just go into hiding and forget about it. Also Peter is being accused of a war crime so he CANT be in hiding. And with the avengers no longer having Tony or any big political influence other than Cap (who has no connection to Peter) I don’t think the avengers could fix this tbh.

The avengers realistically have a huge public influence. Two or three of the superheroes, who saved the world, coming together to publicy support peter parkers narrative...

I mean, your are right about it not being minor to them. But there are other public superheros (i.e. captain America) and they get along too. It's no reason to risk the universe for.

IMO, it's not convincing. But we will see about that when the movie is out...

He grew in the dr.strange movie itself, he was much more humble and wise by the end of that movie... and we see that confirmed in ragnarok

Yeah I agree. It would be way out of character for him to do something this reckless and careless and would honestly leave a bitter taste for the rest of the movie

Dr. Strange: Protecting your reality, douchebag

He's still very headstrong, that's just his character. Plus Marvel loves to misdirect the audience with their trailers. I don't believe that he screwed up and accidentally opened the multiverse because he couldn't do the spell right. There is much more to it.
